Puts us in music dreamland. Beautiful.
This is a replacement subwoofer for my Klipsch Promedia 2.1 speaker system that is connected to my desktop computer. I find that this replacement model is superior to the original Klipsch subwoofer that came with the 3-way system. It is very resonant, and handles all the sub-bass notes with ease. This subwoofer adds a whole new dimension to all of my online music. I'm glad to have it.

Klipsch promedia 4.1 subwoofer replacements
I bought these to replace my Klipsch promedia 4.1 subwoofer drivers. The pre-existing woofers rotted on the surround. I could have re-foamed them but the removal of the plastic edging was too much of an undertaking for me. I was afraid I would damage the speaker beyond repair. So I looked around and read some reviews on some other 6.5" woofers. These speakers fit the specs and the price point. I had almost forgotten how amazing the Klipsch's sounded! I fell in love all over again! Very clean, tight, crisp bass response. Everything sounded good, from hip hop, to rock. From the digital bass line to the pluck of a bass guitar. And another aspect I really liked was the fact that I didn't have to abuse these speakers to get some sound out of them. These things should be outlawed.... The construction was very solid. The rubber surrounds guaranteed me I wouldn't have to worry about them rotting again ;-) The only negative I could say is that I wasn't able to put the grills back on due to the fact that the originals had a special oversized flange built into them that accommodated the grills. And the polarity wasn't marked.... Not a big deal. Use the battery trick. Overall for bang for the buck they are more than great in my application. They are well built and fantastic sounding. I would absolutely recommend these speakers!

Good, but not great. 8 out of a 10.
Just got this today and put it into my older Klipsch 2.1 THX computer speaker system. My OEM sub speaker finally blew apart after 12 years the other day. :( Anyway, I wanted to give my feedback while it is fresh in my mind. ~First, it doesn't come with any foam to mount the speaker on, nor does the original speaker mesh protector fit this one, as it's frame diameter is just a bit smaller. I put 1/4" think, 1/2" wide window sealer foam around the base of the speaker before mounting and it worked great to keep it from rattling. It does bolt up directly without any modifications to the speaker or box. The negative tab will need to be narrowed so the cable end will slide on. I just used some scissors and carefully trimmed the tab. It's very thin metal. Finally, it's not as good as the OEM Klipsch speaker. It doesn't have near the clarity on songs with heavy bass. It will 'garble' some with moderate volume in those situations. However, that said, for the price point, it will do the job for most people, but music aficionados will definitely want to look elsewhere. :) Then again, most of you wouldn't have this older Klipsch system if you're an aficionado, so there is that. :) I'd buy it again.

Great replacement speaker
Worked great as a replacement driver in one of my monoprice bookshelf speakers that was blown.

Very affordable replacement for original Klipsch sub
Here's a few things you need to know: Blasting (the good) 1. The speaker fits the hole pattern and size of original. 2. Poly speaker should last longer than the original paper and foam design, though those did sound good. 3. Very affordable option (hence the 5 stars); if it was much more it would not be worth replacing. Hearing loss (the bad) 1. The original speaker had a plastic ring with a groove that this replacement does not have. The groove was to hold the mesh speaker cover on. May not matter to you, some people take these off. 2. The original has one small post and one larger post to keep the red/black wires on the right posts. This speaker has both the same size, which is common in my opinion. A small diameter sander on a dremel tool trimmed the post to fit. 3. Not sure how much this impacts final sound but the magnet of this was slightly smaller than the original. Note: you don't need to take the plate off the back to change the speaker; the screws are accessible from the outside under the screen. Just take the speaker out and change out the wires. Took it for a test drive with "Get the party started" then "1812 Overture" sounds good. Reminded me of how good these little Klipsch computer speakers are.

Bad sound, sounds horrible
Bought this speaker to replace a blown speaker in my Klisph system. This speaker is horrible, pops and cracks at the slightest bass being played and I’m not a fan of bass in music. Installed and immediately removed it after 1 song.
