Home Security Adjustable Window Bar & Sliding Door Lock – Regular 2 Bars

I purchased this as I love having my windows open during the day, and night, but where I am renting they don't have locks that allow you to only open it a few inches. I wanted to be able to leave them open while still feeling safe. These are everything I could have asked for and more. I was worried about a few of the reviews saying the sticky tape wore down and it rendered them useless, but what I think they did was only use one of the tapes given. You need to use all of the tape - three for each item! They will NOT move at all once you do that. I've been able to have my windows open throughout the day and night, get some fresh air blowing through, without the worry of someone breaking in. I didn't really want to spend the money initially, but these are well worth the price. Piece of mind is priceless, safety is priceless. This company seems to be high quality and I'm thankful for my purchase. 10/10!

This is an extraordinary item, something that I did not even know existed until I accidentally found it on Amazon. The window shown in the picture has a broken piece of hardware that cannot be replaced. A new window seemed the only option. Lock it Block It is the perfect solution. Clear directions, easy to use, perfect fit, and an added bonus of additional security. I am VERY PLEASED!

It worked fine and was easy to handle but it doesn’t seem sturdy when it’s extended outward.

These are better than the more expensive metal ones. I bought the metal kind (not this brand) first but they were so flimsy that I sent them back. These are great.

Worked perfectly, I live in a older trailer so window security is kinda weak especially for a woman living alone, windows are low to the ground. I put these 2 units on the windows that I leave open all the time during the summer, they are very solid but really easy to put up and adjust. Very impressed, I still have these units in those windows through the colder weather. I will just leave them in place.

I hope these to the trick, so I can leave my 1st story window cracked open in the nice weather. Sorry to say you need to have your guard up now-a-days. A little expensive for cheap plastic (pvc) crap. Gotta hold up against the summer sun and the winter cold. May need to come up with a better way to secure them other than 3 pieces of 2-sided tape? Until I found something better this might have to do. Still cheaper than a dog.

Most bars like this come with a bracket that needs to be screwed in or somehow attached to the side, you lift and lower the bar to use it. In my apartment we're not allowed to do this, so this does the trick for ground-floor security. This is a heavy plastic, it just lays down in the track and has push buttons on both ends to extend and shorten to your needs. It's exactly what I was looking for, we can shorten it a click or two to leave things open a crack overnight for airflow or we can extend the bar and use it for general security. We plan to pick up some of the window sized bars next. Edit: almost 2 years later and we will be buying more of these, we purchased a house that has 4 sets of sliding glass patio doors. These are worth the money for the extra peace of mind.

This is thin plastic. I will return it. It should be something more sturdy bcs the price. 🫤
