Beard growth nice shine without the greasy feeling

I have had a beard for a long time and have tried many oils. I saw this and wanted to see how it was. Stay tuned to see how it went. Pros: Getting it out of the bubble wrapped package, I was surprised to see a pump included. Usually oils come with a dropper. I really like the dropper but the pump worked well at first. As far as the oil itself, it's a little on the thin side. It's not a bad thing, but it's thinner than most oils I've used. It went on fine and had no issues, so the thinness was a non issue for me. The smell is basically nonexistent, just a slight neutral smell from the oils it's made of. Cons: A negative for me was the pump. It dispenses the oil fine, but I can control the exact amount I want better with the old fashioned dropper. Also, I wipe up the pump after every use but when I go to use it again, there's oil all under the cap. I'm guessing it's leaking slightly from the opening in the pump. Not a fan of the pump. Overall: It's an oil that works good and has virtually no scent to it. But that pump is a big turn off for me. I was going to give it a 3 stars but the oil itself is what you want and it does work great, so I gave this 4 stars.

I've experimented with several beard oils in the last few months, ranging from the relatively affordable ($10 per oz) to the relatively excessive ($27 per ounce). This oil from The Rich Barber fits closer to the affordable end of the scale at $16 per ounce. However, it's actually one of my favorites so far! Most beard oils use a squeeze dropper to dispense the oil, which means that every time you use it, you have to unscrew the lid, draw some oil into the dropper, squeeze it out into your palms, then wait until your hands are no longer oily to screw the lid back on. In contrast, this oil made the brilliant choice to include a pump nozzle, so it's much faster and easier to use! I also noticed that this oil absorbs super readily. A few of the other oils I tried seem to cling onto my beard and even rub off later in the day, but this oil just disappears into my hair and skin, which is nice. The aroma is also great. It really reminds me of that fresh and clean scent you get from a hot shave at the barber shop! Overall, this is a great value, and probably one I will buy again later.

The bottle says to use it twice for best results but I was concerned about going to bed with an oily beard. Last night I gave that a shot and it wasn't bad at all. I really love the smell. It's a bit of a citrus smell and very refreshing. It's nice to have that under your nose for a couple of hours a day. I put some on about 8am and I can still faintly smell it around lunch time. As for the promise of thicker growth, that will take a much longer time to determine, but for now, I plan to use this just for the smell and to increase the softness and manageability of my beard. It's helping in those 2 areas already.

I specifically ordered this product because is had a spray top instead of the dropper in the picture which I thought would be easier to apply. I came with a dropper style applicator . Very disappointed

The oil itself is quite good. It does what it should to a beard. But, it doesn’t appeal to me personally, for two reasons: The scent, while pleasing, is very subtle. I prefer something that has a more noticeable (but still good) scent. And preferably a scent that lasts a long time. Annoyingly, the pump dispenser had a tendency to leak just a tiny bit, when the bottle is being turned on its side and upside down while in my luggage. So I have sealed the bottle in a zip top bag. But obviously it’s not so great of a solution because the exterior of the pump gets a bit oily and nobody likes oil on the outside of the bottle. Advice: Be very careful to not let this product drip or get wiped on your shirt, it’ll leave an oily spot! Don’t make the mistake I did, applying the oily product to the beard/mustache, and then pulling a colored tee shirt over my head. As I pulled it on, it brushed up against my beard/mustache, and the shirt immediately absorbed oil, and it looked like it had wet spots down the front of it (which never dried, because it was oil, not water.) So if you use this product, learn to be habitually very careful about that!

This will almost certainly go over well. Luxury is in the name. This doesn't come with in your face attitude, cursing, humor, etc that some find offensive or inappropriate. The bottle is a sophisticated matte black that I see appealing to everyone from old school to younger generations. It's very well packaged with a seal around the cap and separate pump in a bubble bag. The scent is strong enough to enjoy without overpowering. The price is reasonable. It's a pretty solid choice.
