Really good value and quality.
Plantar fasciitis surgery left me immobile for 2-4 weeks. This chair was a life saver. It may not be appropriate for people who require a wheelchair indefinitely, but it was perfect for my recovery period. Love the extendable seat option, and removable leg rests. Other than popping the leg rests in, the chair came fully complete and ready to go. Folds up nicely to stick in car or to store away. Reasonably light weight. I was looking for a wider seat, higher weight capacity, and leg rests, and this chair provided all that for $187. And it's very comfortable, has good back support, and arm rests that swing up and out of the way if needed, like at the dinner table. I am thrilled with this purchase- the quality, the price, and the speed of delivery. I ordered it on Saturday, had surgery on Monday, and the chair arrived Tuesday. Now that I'm done using it, it's good to know I have it just in case. Great purchase.

Great Wheel Chair
My mother-in-law is confined to a wheel chair 100% of the time. This chair is the best we found so far that is both comfortable and easy for her to maneuver on her own (she is 88 years old). Very durable! The last one lasted 5 years and was still in good condition. We only replaced it with a new one because the wheels had worn out and at the reasonable cost of this chair it was nicer just to get a whole new chair for her. I do recommend buying a seat cushion if you will be in it all day.

Nice chair but...
When I took the chair out of the box, the Velcro "straps" that go around the seat extension posts (where you cam extend them) one of them had the Velcro positioned (sewn) in the wrong place, preventing the strap to stay secure. I bought Velcro and repaired mine. In the beginning, the chair was very comfy, but over the course of a month, the seat started to stretch, which made me feel like I'm sitting on the frame tubes because I am. See photos. The hinge on the retractable / removable armrests. The one in the back of the chair (see photos) is made of plastic, and after having the armrests up for any length of time, the weight of the armrests combined with the hinge being plastic, combined with the leverage that's being applied to this hinge will make these hinges fail. Mine haven't because I installed parachute cords on the armrests to "catch" the armrest which removes all strain on the plastic hinge. See Photos. Sorry for being so long winded, but I wanted to be as verbose as possible. UPDATE: 3/16/21: Seat has ripped more and is almost no longer useable as the back side of it is almost tore out. Going to contact Customer Service to see if there is anything they can do to assist me. Stay tuned...

Just perfect!
My mother had a stroke which left her unable to walk without mechanical support aka wheel chair. With so many doctor visits and having to use those big hospital wheelchairs, she found it hard to get into them and I found them hard to maneuver into the tight clinic exam rooms. With the prospect of her being in this condition for a long time, I decided to buy it for the following reasons. 1. It is adjustable to a hemi height for her (she is only 4'7") 2. It is lightweight enough for me to lift into the back of the SUV for transport (I have a bad back so lifting +40-50 pounds is not an option). We don't have handicap privilege nor a handicap friendly van so being able to lift it up into the back and out is a must. We've used it for numerous doctor visits and she has been very satisfied with it, not to mention I can wheel her into the exam rooms so much more easily. The construction is durable and well made for the price. It rolls well and the rubber wheels are holding up without any visible scrapes. I only wish there is an accessory bag to attach to the back to carry her things. I definitely will be sewing one as soon as I have a chance. Overall thoroughly happy with the purchase.

Lasted about 6 months.
This review is regarding the transaction, not the chair (I have owned several Drive chairs and will buy again as needed), Last year, I ordered a Drive Cruiser 3 and was sent a McKesson in its stead. I contacted the seller about the error and was told the Drive must have been out of stock, and this sent in its place (no prior heads up given). I was given the option of a $25 adjustment or return the chair for refund (which would cost me more than $25 in shipping). As the box was destroyed while opening and the physical need for a wheelchair, I kept it. I've had it 6 months and the right break is loose and the fabric seat is beginning to tear. Staying with Drive; that chair lasted about 3 years of daily 12 hour use.

The inherent vulnerability of the occupant demands that a wheelchair must be safe. It must have the structural capability to hold a user throughout normal usage. Also, it has to have brakes that work so that a user can safely enter and exit the device. I have given this wheelchair the lowest rating because the brakes are not good. The bolts do not hold in place when tightened. When I questioned the company that makes it (Drive), I was told to get “Loctite” and fix it myself. Apparently, Drive is aware of the problem, but will not use a thread sealant to address the problem during manufacturing.

Quality wheelchair
I have been very happy with this purchase. I had been using a transport wheelchair for trips when I had to walk a lot. As my medical issues became more serious, I was finding I was depending on the chair more often. I like that I have the freedom to wheel myself with this one. The durability and ability to hold a greater weight were the qualities we were most concerned with (my children still want to sit on my lap at times), and we have had no issues with this chair. Very pleased with the purchase.

Well It Seemed Like A Good Choice
I was so impressed when this was delivered. We were using the chair for a teen with a severely broken ankle/leg, and chose this one due to the adjustable leg rests & the price was reasonable. This looked like a nice quality chair & was so easy to put together & use. It has been easy to lift into & out of the back of our SUV. The problem came yesterday. After only having this chair for a few weeks, the right leg assembly completely broke off at the weld line. Will try to call the company since the chair does come with a limited warranty that covers durable components, especially given the fact we've only had the chair for 3 weeks :(

Easy to adjust height
Bought for my mom as replacement for borrowed one. Works well, nice & sturdy. Easy to adjust height from 19 to 17.5 inches. Make sure you tighten the bolts properly. She likes to keep her feet near the ground, and uses both her feet and her arms to move around. Not a easy to roll as other one but she is getting used to it. Does need a nice cushion if sitting in it for a while. hers is 3" deep (2 layers). Con- If at 17.5" the handles at the rear are too low (I am 5'8") and I need to bend over a bit to push it. *** the rear handles also need to extend higher.

Good chair, could be better.
Bought for my mother to take along on trips and day-outs. It serves it’s purpose. The swinging out of the leg support makes it very easy to get in and out of the chair. The lifting up of the arm rests is very convenient to sit comfortabley at dining tables. The break mechanism is located at the wheel and is very hard to deploy or release. My mom can’t do it herself. No break or security machanism available to the caregiver who is pushing the chair. My mom has to hold on to the wheel-rail to keep the chair steady, so that I can let go of the chair safely and then I need to walk over to the front to apply the break. This is a major inconvenience and a vulnerability. I have to be very mindful of the leveling of the ground before I can let go of the chair. I wish the breaking and stability locking was available to use by both the user and the caregiver. We feel the need of a cup holder too. I bought a clip on.
