Works great! If it is up against something like a battery, be sure to use the little foil sticker that comes in the package between the coil and the battery.

If you've never used a Qi receiver coil to power your project or charge the battery in your project, you're missing out on a great way to make your home built gadget more elegant. I attach these to the bottom of my projects, and use the coil to supply the DC power for a LiPo charging module. When the gadget is sitting on a Qi module, it powers your device and charges the LiPo, and when you remove your device, the LiPo can take over until you set it back on the charge pad. Super simple to connect -- red to positive, black to negative, and presto, you've got power!

I soldered the first one to a micro-usb cord, but then afterwards couldn't get it to charge anything. I don't know if the wire got too hot and loosened the connection at the board or what. The second one worked fine though.
