This is a wonderful supplement and an excellent brand. It really works and I only take half the dose with a cinnamon supplement and it brought my A1C down a little and my glucose spikes weren’t as high. Start low dose and pay attention if you have any stomach discomfort and ask a doctor how to proceed. I always go by my symptoms and adjust from there to my comfort. It’s a marathon. Not a race. Watch for hypoglycemia symptoms (and do not take with other glucose reducing supplements without a doctors approval) and have some glucose test strips on hand to keep track of your sugar levels and journal everything. I don't know why this product is not touted more for it's blood sugar lowering ability. It has been proven to be as effective as Metformin in lowering blood sugar without all the horrible side effects. I've been taking it for about a year now and it definitely works. It really does a great job for me keeping my level of glucose in check! However, I use it along with GlucoBalance from Biotics Research!

I take this with every thing I eat. I am not a medical professional. But when I eat and don't take this, my sugars go up 100 points higher than when I do take it. Eating the same item.

I don't really like this, and I purchased it thinking that it was like the Berberine HCL it is not. The taste is bitter in smoothies. As for being an appetite suppressant, I didn't see that effect. What it does do is help the body to break down cortisol and glycogens from carbohydrates; however, the HCL version of the same brand does this much better. The capsule is easy to swallow.
