I absolutely love this set of 120 watercolor pencils. I love the way they are packaged in a zippered case with 'pages' of coordinated colors. The pencils themselves are a very good quality for use. While a great value for the price, the pencils also offer beautiful pigmented color, some very vibrant, some softer than others, but useful when building color. There are many reviews on YouTube worth watching, and I am sure you will be pleased. It came with two sketchpads to get you started. Overall I am very excited to have this set, and I believe they would make a beautiful holiday gift for the budding artist in your family, as well as a birthday gift, or for use as a hobby that the entire family can share together.

This set is awesome- the variety of colors is great- the coverage is great- and they simplify watercolor painting by allowing you to use the pencil to draw in shapes then add a touch of water with a brush and magic happens! Great buy and highly recommend!

These are great, super high quality and great variety of interesting colors! Love the case that keeps them organized. Taking away only one star cause one of the pencils was broken and there was some marks in the case as if it had been used before. Not the end of the world if it was a return but shouldn’t have come with a broken pencil. Otherwise very impressed

Despite of the fact that I’m a big fan of the Castle Arts pencils I was very disappointed by this set from the very beginning. All my pages coloured with them looked like a 5 years old child drawing. So I just resigned myself that I wasted my money. But once I watched a tutorial how to use watercolor pencils most effectively. And it was a game changer to me! The key to success is to use a palette! In that case you will be able to control the amount of color you are going to apply. So now it is so easy to complete the pages and enjoy every second of the process! Highly recommend! Don’t hesitate to buy! You will enjoy them as much as I do!

Jag är nybörjare på att teckna och ville ha många färger att välja mellan som får mer färg ju högre tryck jag använder. De flesta färgerna blev det så med.

Das Set wurde entsprechend der Beschreibung und der Bilder ausgeliefert. Neben den Stiften und dem Etui, den Anleitungen (plus Blanko-Farbkarte) und den zwei Papierblöcken waren auch noch zwei Wassertankpinsel (1x feine Spitze, 1x breit) enthalten. Die Farbauswahl finde ich sehr ansprechend; es gibt genug Farbnuancen zum Auswählen, und es ist neben den Gelb-, Rot- Blau- und Grüntönen auch eine schöne Auswahl von Erdfarben dabei. Die Farben lassen sich gut in Schichten auftragen und sind auch gut aquarellierbar. Soweit ich das ausprobiert habe! Anbei eine Zeichnung mit den Stiften (ohne Aquarell in diesem Fall). Die Farben weisen eine hohe Leuchtkraft auf; bei der Verteilung auf dem Papier sind eventuell andere, 2-3x so teure professionelle Stifte etwas gleichmäßiger. Das ist aber schon Nörgeln auf hohem Niveau und hängt auch von den persönlichen Vorlieben ab. Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit den Ergebnissen. Das beigelegte Aquarellpapier ist auch überraschend gut - kann man gebrauchen. (Das Zeichenpapier habe ich noch nicht verwendet.) Insgesamt auf jeden Fall das Geld wert, ich freue mich schon auf die weiteren schönen Bilder, die ich damit anfertigen kann!
