Look great, fit well and are a very good value! Just as good as the expensive brand name.
I rarely write reviews but I felt this item deserved one. This is a long review. Grab a cup of coffee. Very good quality, compares well with Simpson at much less than 1/3 the price, which is a lot considering I used 6 bases. I did not use the included anchors and instead went with RED HEAD 1/2 inch wedge anchors. The included anchors claim to be 5/8. The anchor is the part that goes into the concrete. However, the actual diameter of the nut and bolt that you screw down the base to the concrete with are only 1/4" which is not sufficient for a deck and because the included anchors are so much small than the holes in the base, it can rotate and move. Plus high quality 1/2" concrete drill bits are cheaper and more available. I would also recommend that you do not use the concrete lag bolts they include, especially if you are using the base to hold anything heavy like a deck as these bolts are not high quality and certainly not strong enough to hold this base to the concrete in my opinion. Just compare the included lag bolts with TAPCON bolts and you'll see what I mean. I reamed the four holes in the base VERY slightly to accommodate some high quality REDHEAD anchors which are only $2 each. I used 4 anchors per base, size 1/2 inch by 3 3/4. The threads of the anchor the holes entirely so there is no room for the base to move or rotate once you anchor in in place. There are plenty of videos on how to put the anchors in. The Eapele base fits 4x4 well and needed only a very light tap with a rubber mallet to get them to fully seat, nice and snug, no wiggle room. Ignore the reviews about how hard it was to get them on the 4x4. They should be snug because treated lumber shrinks as it dries and you want them to stay in place over time. Nerd Alert: Measured the thickness of the steel with digital calipers and the thickness is 2.01mm, which puts these close to 14 gauge steel assuming 0.2mm for power coated paint. These are thinner metal than the Simpson Strong-Tie EZ series (12g, about 2.7mm), are equivalent in thickness to the ABA series and most other series of post bases. The Eapele bases are much thicker than the Simpson Strong-Tie BC series, which are only 18g (1.2mm). Remember, the higher the gauge the thinner the metal is. In summary, these are plenty strong enough. Powder coated paint was smooth with no bubbles or blemishes. The paint appeared to be sufficiently thick and it did not crack or flake off the surrounding metal when I was enlarging the bolt holes with my drill so I could use the better anchors. Hope this helps.

5 Stars! Donโt Waste Money at Loweโs!
Five stars! I donโt often write Amazon reviews, but I wanted to for this purchase because I was very pleased. Hopefully this will help someone else decide. 1) This product is of equal quality, strength, and finish to the Simpson EZ Base at Loweโs. I have used the Simpson brand in the past. I was hesitant to buy these because the price was so much lower than the Simpson brand and I was unsure if the quality would be the same. Donโt waste your money!! When buying the four pack here on Amazon, the price is about $9 each while the others are $30+ at Loweโs. I had to buy 8, so I ended up saving over $150! 2) While the quality is equal, take note that the base size of this product is slightly different from the Simpson brand. The holes are slightly differently positioned. I only mention this because if you are trying to use this product to replace an already existing Simpson brand base, your anchors may not align. If you are starting new, this will not present an issue. 3) Please note that for my project, I did not use the included hardware (concrete anchors, wood screws, or bolts). I used 1/2โ x 3.5โ Red Head wedge anchors. Iโm sure the included hardware works fine, but I did notice a few other reviews stating that they used other hardware. I cannot speak to the hardware, so Iโm not including an evaluation on it. Another review said that this company should sell the base only and drop the price a bit more. I agree with this. Regardless, the price is still significantly lower than Loweโs, even with the hardware. 4) In reading the description of this product, I noticed that the dimensions were different when selecting the 8 pack vs. the 4 pack. For my project, I ended up ordering two 4-packs instead of one 8-pack for this reason. Take note of this before selecting your final count. Overall, I am very pleased! My project: Attaching 6 posts (4x4โ and 4โ tall) to a concrete retaining wall to build a short privacy fence. Also to attach 2 posts to mount a railing for some stairs. Photos attached.

Different order quantities have different size anchor bolts
These bases seem to be really sturdy and what I'm looking for. I'm giving it 4 stars because I ordered one to see if it was what I wanted. It was, so I went back and ordered a pack of 6. It's in the description, but they are different. The pack of 6 has a smaller anchor bolt size. It's .35" and the smaller packs are .55". It's in the description, but I just didn't see it when I ordered it, so I'm having to send back the pack of 6 and order a pack of 4 and a pack of 2 instead. The bolts that come with the pack of 6 are quite a bit smaller too (as you can see in the picture). I am going to use Red Head bolts just because I need these to be really secure and I don't want to take any chances. The smaller anchor holes and the smaller bolts definitely aren't enough for my application though and the larger ones maybe would work.

Worth the effort!!
I bought these to install a wooden fence with a gate on a concrete carport. Absolutely genius products!! They look fantastic and are extremely sturdy for 4x4s!! I have been using them for well over six months and have had zero issues with the gate or fence integrity. The only part that I had difficulty with was drilling the holes into the concrete (which is unrelated to the product itself) BUT they came with several types of hardware to install them in concrete or wood.

Heavy duty product.
This is a heavy duty anchor base with heavy duty hardware. Iโve bought cheaper bases in the past and they are flimsy in comparison. I would buy this product again.

Very sturdy with 4 holes for screws
Very sturdy & heavy! Using these in 4 (half) wine barrels for a 4x4 post to hang string lights. It will bolt right down inside the barrels. It comes pre drilled and with hardware! Very worth it

Worked fine and half the price from name brand one.
This worked just just fine. I am building a 6' wood privacy fence and needed one of these to attach to a concrete sidewalk in the side of my house. It was a tad tight fit for a 4x4 pressure treated post but with a little persuasion of a hammer it went right in. I didn't have any issues with the anchors that came with it either as others have stated. This seems like the same thickness of the name brand ones that cost double the price. I would buy again if I needed another one.
