There was no easy way to hook my computer up to wifi this solved my problem.

If you want something that doesn't hold great signals, then this adapter will do the job. But if you want something a bit stronger, go with something else. 3 stars for being decent. Not 5 because it isn't great.

this is the most insanely useless thing i've ever purchased. it is like it was designed in the 80s before we had wireless technology. when you buy it, you think "oh its a USB great, it is plug and play" but NO you have to install the software. you're probably thinking it has a CD or something, right? also no. you have to have an internet connection in order to install the drivers from netgear's website in order to have a wireless internet connection. after trying this on multiple computers running both windows 10 and windows 8 along with multiple download packages, not even the installation wizards work. this belongs in the trash

This thing connects and disconnects seemingly at random. It will just stop registering as a connected USB device, also at random. Unplugging and re-inserting the device does not fix anything; restarting the computer works maybe one out of five times. Transfer speeds are noticeably slow when it is working. Tech support and various forums are filled with users sharing the same complaints. Per tech support, I installed the latest driver package from NetGear, and the "standalone" option includes this Genie software which frequently locks up my computer, using nearly 100% of my CPU for some reason. This "fix" did not fix anything. You could probably not find a worse option for a wireless USB adapter, especially considering the price. You can get one for cheaper (the replacement I bought was $10) and anything else will easily outperform this device and at least attempt to be reliable.

This adapter is downright terrible. I'm using it with my custom gaming PC, and I can't connect to my home internet, or my extender. I'm having to use my phones hotspot which is infuriating. Is this really what Netgear wants me to experience??? It's kind of slow, but that's expected from a USB adapter. You literally just plug it in to a USB port and it gives you WiFi capabilities (But the WiFi sucks and I can't even connect to my own WiFi) I'd recommend just buying an extender and using ethernet, because this is not worth it AT ALL.

This thing blows. I got this from walmart a few months ago and it is so annoying. It constantly disconnects from the wifi meaning that if you work from home it won't be stable. PLEASE SAVE THE TROUBLE AND GET A MORE UPDATED ONE OR A COMPLETLEY DIFFERENT BRAND!

Ich habe ein Netgear R6300 AC Router gekauft, nachdem der alte kaputtgegangen ist. Da bei mir bis dato keine Peripherie den schnellen AC-Standard unterstützte, und ich diesen unbedingt probieren wollte, habe ich mir diesen Stick angeschafft. Ich habe den Stick in meinen 4 Jahre alten Lenovo all-in-one PC (Ideacentre B500) eingesteckt, und die Verbindung liess keine Wünsche übrig. Der Empfang ist deutlich besser, als mit dem eingebauten WLAN des PCs, und der Datenfluß ist ausreichend schnell für HD-Streaming & co, was früher nicht funktionierte. Die Verbindung zum NAS läuft jetzt auch wie geschmiert. Der Kauf war vor > 1 Jahr, seither keine Ausfälle oder Probleme mit WLAN-Netzabbrüchen. Insgesamt sehr zufrieden mit der Lösung.

I own a dell studio 1535 running on Windows pro 10. My onboard wireless not working so I have tried 7 different wireless adapter and none of them worked, signals kept dropping. I almost gave up search thinking I will not have internet on my laptop. Until I tried Netgear AC600 after checking out the reviews. It worked with no problems. My house has three floors and the router is based in the loft. This netgear usb does not lose signals. I streamed movie with no problems. The set-up disc is the large size not the mini disc. The netgear usb is slightly larger than a £1 coin as it sticks out, but I don't mind that as it does the job. Defiantly recommend.

Lo compre para poder tener cobertura 5g y cubre perfectamente mis espectativas. Recibe muy buena señal, no suele perderla nunca y no me causa ninguna incompatibilidad con el pc. Se instala muy facil y se configura solo. Me gusta este adaptador, tiene un tamaño reducido y buena calidad.

Comme beaucoup de personnes depuis la migration sous W10, la carte WiFi de mon netbook fonctionnait très mal avec une connexion Internet déplorable dû à un problème de compatibilité de driver. J'ai acheté cette clé et me suis empressé de la connecter sur un port USB. N'ayant pas de lecteur CD j'ai récupéré le driver sur internet. Aussitôt téléchargé, le logiciel reconnaît les réseaux WiFi et la connexion à mon réseau s'est faite sans aucun problème. La vitesse est excellente, meilleure que si je me connecte via un câble Eternet, rien à voir avec mon ancienne carte quand elle fonctionnait sous Windows 7.

Salve, Ho deciso di comprare questo "stupendo" adattatore usb wireless dopo aver avuto sua madre, un adattatore wireless neatgear WG3000, che già funzionava benissimo. Ma con l'avanzare delle velocità dei router e dell'ampiezza del segnale, ho deciso di comprare qualche adattatore nuovo. Così dopo aver girato un po' su Amazon trovando il prodotto giusto , ho deciso di prendere questo piccolo gingillo. Inizio con dire che il rapporto qualità prezzo è assolutamente ottimo. Per il lavoro che deve fare, il costo speso è più che sufficiente. Anche se esteticamente è molto piccolo,c'è da dire che lo stesso è molto potente. Inoltre può essere utilizzate anche per tanto tempo, ma non si surriscalda ne tanto meno perde la frequenta. In pratica rende al massimo anche per un utilizzo molto lungo nel tempo. Sulla parte superiore troviamo anche un piccolo led di colore blu, che dopo mesi di utilizzo devo dire che ancora si deve rompere , e funziona ancora. Sembra una sciocchezza, ma solitamente quando un prodotto non viene utilizzato con attenzione, il led è la prima cosa che si rompe. Inoltre il software da installare all'interno del pc, che giustamente accetta versione di Windows 7, 8, 10, è molto pratico, e da anche la possibilità di aggiornare il software così da avere sempre tutti i driver pronti. Io personalmente uso questo adattatore collegandolo con un cavo maschio-femmina di 2 metri collegato a sua volta all'usb del pc, in questo modo posso spostare a mio piacere l'adattatore , qualora il proprio modem si trova molto lontano da dove ci troviamo con il nostro Pc. In conclusione ottimo prodotto da acquistare decisamente. Netgear non ci smentisce mai.
