Im going to be honest the first time I ordered these I was hesitant about flavor. First time try, bitter taste. But its become a main staple for a treat at my job since I buy the big bag of treats. I work overnight, and I drink a lot of coffee, so this is definitely the alternative I do enjoy. Definitely one of the few great finds on Amazon for caffeine alternatives for overnight shifts.

Arrived early which is always nice. My first time trying a coffee candy like this. Feels a little pricey even though it's a fairly large bag because the candies themselves don't last very long for a hard candy Tasty but the espresso is only okay to me. Does bother me that I didn't see where it said what the filling is. Not a fan of the filling. Weird texture. It sticks to my teeth which is a feeling i hate. Gonna need to try others to compare. Overall it tastes good and would recommend if you don't mind the filling.

On 7-16-2026 I have had to come back, realizing I had not actually remembered to remove any stars, having simply rewritten the revision, so my error. Coming back to revise that. I have since then, tried 3 more of the candies since writing the revision yesterday, just to ensure that I was NOT be unfair in my rather harsh re-review. I absolutely was not! If anything, I needed to be harsher, and THIS REPRESENTS the SINGLE BIGGEST QUALITY CONTROL reduction in a product THAT I have EVER experienced in my 60 years! IMPORTANT REVISION TO MY ORIGINAL REVIEW written on 7-15-2026 Wed) It saddens me to have a need to entirely revise this review. This candy WAS A LUXURY ITEM FOR ME. I did not find it all that affordable, but it was a treat to me, and I seldom splurge on anything, and live very modestly living with frugality in mind always! I had been on subscription to this candy getting two and occasionally 3 bags each shipment, as it was one of those relatively small pleasures that I greatly enjoyed. I reasoned that since I do not partake of spirits and do not smoke it was justifiable to get, even on my somewhat restrictive budget. If I was mowing for example, I would put a half dozen or so in my pocket to 'suck on' while working, or when in the garden I would do the same. The flavor had been excellent! Now, ALL OF THAT HAS CHANGED with this shipment of two bags! It honestly seems like such a small pleasure, and whatever this company has done is serving to have thoroughly DEGRADED the taste, mouthfeel, and the texture of this formerly excellent product. First, I am healthy, and the reason I am saying that specifically is that certain types of illness can indeed have an impact upon your capacity to taste. Whatever they have done to this candy has degraded it by a factor of 75% in my estimation. Now, could I have gotten a bad batch or something? I suppose it could happen; however it seems highly unlikely, as once a company has their routine procedure and recipe locked down, and have been making the product for years it is highly unlikely to have appreciable deviations in quality in my experience. If you are looking for a pleasant nice tasting quality candy with a smooth pleasant coffee flavor, I regret to say that this is no longer my go to. I plan to stop my subscription due to the incredible drop in quality, but have not yet done so. I would say that the coffee flavor has been so toned down that one will be unlikely to even discern an actual coffee flavor at all, at this point. Additionally, the company used to have a fairly substantial softer center, which was an excellent addition. This too is far smaller in size and it too seems to have far less flavor as well. The entire experience which had always been such a delight, has been reduced in quality of flavor, mouth feel and the overall experience is absolutely negative now. That is not to say that the candy itself now tastes awful. It is still sweet but the reason one gets a coffee candy has been almost entirely stripped from the taste profile of the candy. If this is, as I am given to suspect, a cost-cutting measure, this is absolutely a hideous decision on the part of the company. Frankly, the cost of it is just absolutely over-priced by 75% NOW. One reason that I am willing to get on here and feel it is important to revise my review is that this is NOT an inexpensive candy in price. I got two bags and I am just disgusted and thoroughly disappointed with it at this time. Now in my attempt to be honest and candid, I will add one sidenote. The delivery was initially sent to a wrong warehouse, and it was delayed by 3 or 4 days longer than when it was supposed to arrive. My complaint is not as much with concern over the lateness of the arrival as it is a part of my speculation as to whether the necessity of having the candy in the hot weather getting exposed for several additional days to intense heat could potentially have impacted upon the quality of the product. I really feel as though that should not overly impact the actual flavor strength though, and it certainly seems as though the reduction of the size of the soft center, would be unaffected, however I confess that I do not know. Again, this is simply my sincere attempt to be as honest as I know how to be about the rather astounding level of diminished taste and quality of the candy! I am simply trying to be as fair as I can in giving possible scenarios for the degradation of the candy flavor. Now, IF the company has had some type of service or supply change challenge that has resulted in this, and if it is temporary, I would maintain my subscription. For context, I have been receiving regular subscription deliveries and have likely gone through around 20 bags now, I suspect. My point in saying that is that I do have a very solid baseline of solid experience for how the candy HAD been tasting. To say that this shipment is a disappointment would be a tremendous understatement! I would be delighted to be contacted and told that this was a weird anomaly and a one- time occurrence, but if this is going to be the new standard, the candy is absolutely NOT AFFORDABLE AT THIS current price point, given the incredibly astounding reduction in quality! I would no longer be comfortable having my review expounding upon the excellent flavor profile, when that is simply no longer the case! If I am contacted by the company and they allow me to know something, I would in my endeavor to be honest revise my review yet again. For context, I am a Vine reviewer, and while I am, I have only purchased this candy out of my own pocket entirely. I do take all of the reviews that I do for Amazon very seriously and will not fabricate any of them, and of course, I have never been asked to shade any of my reviews! 7-15-2026 Wed) I have now gotten about halfway through my 2nd order of these coffee candies. Upon opening, I started with the darker wrapped ones, as I was concerned that they would end up being a bit too strong for my palate. Not true. There are, as the company clearly articulates, three different flavor profiles. Each is mild yet pleasant and is just a nice uplift for a few moments of the day. They could do just one thing in my mind, to improve. I am on my second order, again excellent candy, simply a bit too costly. They are an excellent treat. Incidentally, within this order (or was it just prior to this order) I had also ordered a different kind of coffee candy, that is not nearly as good as this is. Treat yourself! I would highly recommend!

Very good candies. Love hardness combined with a little filling inside. Not too sweet.
