Good construction, large apron.
I'm a large person, like 6'4" and heavy. This apron barely covers my front, but it does cover it. The supplied web strap fits around my middle with nothing to spare. The harness is about the oddest thing I have ever used. But it works. I am seriously considering fitting the web strap as well as I can and then taking a stitch or two with an upholstery needle or waxed thread so that the adjustment is retained. It is very easy for arms to go the wrong way through the straps or such. So those are the bad parts. I originally bought this because metal chips were on my clothes and I wanted something to catch them. I find that the chips don't seem to stick to the hide. This is a plus. It is heavy split hide of some sort. It is lined in what appears to be cotton. This is important for a welding apron. You don't want synthetics that might melt. I bought this for operating machinery more than welding, and I wanted something that might stop or deflect something like a grinding wheel that sheds a piece in addition to the obvious protection of clothing. Not perfect armor, but something. I have a face shield that I use for high risk operations, but the apron stays on, because it is impossible to remove or replace quickly, at least before my planned modifications. This is good because there are plenty of pockets for chuck keys and adjustment wrenches, and even your phone. I have given the apron a cursory look, and I see no manufacturing issues. No loose stitches, good weight of the lined leather sandwich. I might have preferred a top grain leather over the split but the difference in cost would have been prohibitive. Different qualities of split can have different surface finishes. This seems to have as smooth a finish as can be expected from split. Excellent. This is a well made apron. Really, the only issue I have with it is the odd one piece figure eight harness. Let me try to explain the harness. The straps are sewn into the shoulders. They then pass through shoulder straps that can slide on the straps. They then pass through a plastic piece that rests on the middle of the back. This plastic piece is where the straps cross over. Left strap becomes right strap and vice versa. There are rings attached to the apron at the waist (for me, just above the waist). The straps reverse again using these rings and meet mid back. So the strap that started on the left is headed left. So if you think about this, you have only one adjustment point, at strap end. Want to have the waist loose? The weight of the apron will move the slack into the shoulders. There is a little bit of friction in the plastic crossover piece, but none in the waist rings at all. But that is not uncomfortable. The biggest issue is donning the thing in the first place. I believe that this is an excellent value. If it deflects a sharp tool, or turns a cut into a bruise even once, I'll count it as an amazing value.

It deserves SIX stars. Serious - this work apron is KILLER!!!
Where to begin? OK, I got it because I needed to fill out the $$ for an add on, and figured if nothing else, it was a usable hunk of leather. Then I opened the box... HOLY MOLY KAWABUNGA!!! I don't know who Qeelink is, but I have NEVER seen this GREAT a piece of leatherwork for 8x the price. It has more service pockets (and well placed) than my denim layout apron. It comes below mid-calf - the length for this 6' amazon is PERFECT. Rivets where they're needed. HEAVY suede leather, well finished, no flaws. THe Straps are nylon and thick webbing. 2 "hammer rings" on either side of the lower pockets. OH MY GOSH... Do NOT let that they're Asian made dissuade you from this apron... I am BEYOND blown away with the quality, the heft, the construction of this awesome forge and welders apron. Blacksmith? Foundry work? Hell, Around the shop general purpose? This is the DEAL of the CENTURY. I may grab a spare, because they are so inexpensive (but not "cheap"), and so damned good. Except I can't see one failure point anywhere on this item. They really knocked it out of the park on this... and I am not easily impressed. Hell, I may grab a couple spares for visitors and students, except... they're almost too good for visitors and students. Hey Victor, and Lincoln, and all you guys - you should get these, reverse engineer them, because (and I'm not kidding) they REALLY pulled it off and did it right. Added 15 March 2022 - I've now been rocking this unexpected piece of badassery apron for a few years now- Know how many times it's failed? ZERO! I was initially impressed by the build quality and heft of the leather for a "Cheap Chinese Leather Apron", but oh my goodness, here I am, 4 years later, looked up my former review, and it now deserves --7-- stars. You can't kill it, you can't beat it, and you can't do better. IF you somehow think it will fall apart, then buy 2, but plan to leave the second one to your progeny.

Great apron for beginner welders
I use this in my welding classes and it works very well. It is a little thin, but what it does cover, it covers well. The straps are adjustable so they have a wide range of sizes. They attach with a clip so they're really easy to clip on and take off. It has large pockets that are great for holding my slag hammer and clamps. The leather is high quality and keeps the heat off very well. There's also a few layers of fabric behind the leather for extra padding which feel quite nice.

Extremely comfortable, quality leather, but cheap straps
I bought six aprons! In my search for the perfect workshop apron, I came across six that were all well-reviewed and prime-ready, so I decided to do a shoot-out. Bottom line: The best shop apron is the Hudson Woodworking Edition. The best leather apron is the QeeLink. I would be happy with any of them - except the Angry Beaver. Full breakdown: Flipzon Work Apron https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Q19DT8R/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Pros: Most Affordable, light and comfortable, quality leather accents Cons: Cheap straps, odd pockets, color (subjective) Summary: The Flipzon Work Apron is an attractive, light, and comfortable piece that I could see used in a variety of working environments. For the price, it is very impressive. I would say that the main shortfall is the pocket situation: the leather chest straps, while nice in appearance, are only good if your utensils have clips. None of my construction pencils do, so I wouldn’t trust them to stay. Further, while the main pocket is quite accommodating, the side pockets are too narrow for almost any of my hand-tools. I can’t think of good use for them other than straw storage. Finally, the straps are nylon, lack shoulder pads, buckles, or a connecting piece for the cross-back straps. Overall: If you’re on a budget, don’t need too many pockets, and don’t mind an apron that isn’t classic brown, this one is a great choice. ★★★★☆ LEASEEK Leather Welding Work Apron https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DNS5SSH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1#customerReviews Pros: Price, quality leather, Cons: Cheap straps, heavy, color (subjective) Summary: The LEASEEK Leather Welding Work Apron is a few improvements away from being a quality apron. It was middle-of-the-road on comfort, had cheap nylon straps and a plastic cross back strap, and the color was pretty orange and splotchy. That being said, the leather did seem of good quality and the smell wasn’t as noticeable as some reviewers suggested. I’ve got a good sense of smell and this apron didn’t bother me. Overall: For an inexpensive leather apron, I think you’re getting a good deal, here. However, for a bit more, you could do a lot better. Also, the wife thought this was the ugliest one, so there’s that. The QeeLink is superior. ★★★☆☆ Angry Beaver - Waxed Canvas Work Shop Apron https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0774CRW1P/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1#customerReviews Pros: color, metal grommets, hammer loops Cons: shoulder pads slip, poor fit, too short Summary: Of all the aprons I tested, there was only one loser, and here she is. Though it was perhaps the best-looking apron color-wise, the fit was relatively poor and it just seemed to want to bunch in the middle and get shorter - and it’s already a bit too short. All of the pockets are the same and they’re too shallow unless you’re only holding screws. The missing cross back strap was noticeable by comparison. Worst of all, the shoulder straps didn’t adjust well and just kept falling sideways down my arms. Overall: Nice canvas and appealing color, but otherwise, it’s a bit of a mess. You could do a lot better. ★★☆☆☆ Leather Work Shop Apron by QeeLink https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079KDMV1Y/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1#customerReviews Pros: extremely comfortable, quality leather, pocket layout Cons: cheap straps Summary: This is the most comfortable apron that I tried on, hands down. It feels light, but protective, has a pleasant leather smell despite what some reviewers mentioned, and has an excellent pocket layout. The orange may be a bit much for some, and it is probably a touch too long for my 5’7” frame, but I like this one a lot. If it had better quality straps with shoulder pads or a hammer loop, this one would be the best. Overall: If you want leather over canvas, this here is the one for you. If comfort is most important, it still is. But if you want a bit more quality in the straps, keep reading. ★★★★☆ Texas Canvas Waxed Canvas Heavy Duty Shop Apron https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071P9LM7P/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 Pros: extremely comfortable, quality straps, metal grommets Cons: limited pockets, color different than pictured Summary: I’ll keep this one short - this one is highly comfortable, has great straps with shoulder pads and a leather cross strap, and all-around just seems really well-made. The color is much lighter than pictured - more like the deluxe version. The packaging was also impressive. The only downside is the pockets just aren’t as nice as the Hudson. Overall: If you don’t wanna spend the extra $5 for the Hudson, then this is more than a serviceable shop apron - plus it is more comfortable. If you don't need as much for pockets, I'd go with this one. ★★★★★ Hudson Durable Goods - Woodworking Edition Apron https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0798WWM89/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 Pros: all the bells and whistles Cons: price, stiff Summary: Look, this one is just the best. It has a great color, excellent quality canvas and straps, a terrific assortment of deep and covered pockets, hammer loops, metal grommets, etc. The only complaint I have is that among such stiff competition, this is the stiffest. It really isn’t all that comfortable at first, but after I put a few miles on it, it started to ease-up. I was most torn between this one and the QeeLink, just because I love the feel of nice leather, especially on that particular apron. But at the end of the day, the Hudson is just pure quality and I know it will last me a long time. So for me, this one’s the keeper. Overall: If you can afford it, this one is the best. ★★★★★

Excellent protection for welding and grinding
I’ve been ruining clothes and shop clothes for years with welding and grinding in the garage. Finally purchased this amazing apron, it works fantastic! Grinding sparks just bounce off this thing, it’s very heavy material (but not heavy) and protects everything behind it. It goes on easy, comes off easy. No inconvenience whatsoever. Five stars!

Great apron!
Great apron. I'm a metal worker. I do a lot of grinding and welding and it holds up really well. My first QeeLink apron lasted for over a year and a half. Worth every penny.
