I’ve always refused to spend more that drug store prices, but this is amazing. I use it as a concealer (I don’t wear full face base) it’s lasted me over a year. I’ve had it since September of 2025 and it’s now April of 26. So if you need full coverage in small spots. Highly recommend.

I love Tarte. This foundation always leaves me looking flawlessly natural. It is buildable if you nèed more coverage. It is perfect for combination skin. I often try other foundations but always end up coming back to this one.

The best coverage for not so perfect skin

I used to use Smart Cover foundation as it gave the best coverage for my skin.....lots of scars and discoloration. I was really sad to see it discontinued. I spent so much money looking for something of similar quality to no avail, and when I read about this stuff, I was put off by the price and asked if they sent samples, but they don't. I bit the bullet because there was something about it...ingredients and color pictured, etc. and I have to say I was so surprised and relieved at what a wonderful product this is. I have problematic skin, and I have to mix colors to get appropriate color for my skin tone. I put it on in thin layers, letting it dry in between and it goes on so perfectly and seamlessly. It looks like I don't have pores before AND after applying setting powder. A little goes a long way, so for a person of low income ( me) that in some cases can't afford to use products of this quality, and end up trying cheaper stuff that cause problems and then having to spend MORE money to take care of said problem.....this one was my miracle product. I really struggled to decide to try it, but I bit the bullet and am I EVER glad I did. I hope they stay in business a long time. I am really in love with this stuff. It doesn't look cakey and has no build up if applied properly. This stuff was a GODSEND for me. It lasts all day and doesn't seem to come off on fabric or even if you have an itch that needs scratching. When it comes to your face, that is what you present to the world and I was so unhappy until I found this stuff. Hope this helps anyone who is needing any assurance that spending this much money is too much of a risk. I am done experimenting, thank GOD. I don't have to dread putting make-up on anymore!

It’s hard to choose the color online so it was a little too pale for my skin tone. I had to add bare minerals powder over it just to darken it up a bit. I love the foundation I’ve gotten this one before in a different shade. I’m not sure if I ordered this tone or if it was just sent to me in this tone. I’m usually a light medium to medium but this one was very fair. The value was good for this foundation. I would go into ulta or Sefora to try out the correct shade before ordering. It covers very well as I have uneven skin tones on my face. It all blended together into one shade perfectly. It lasts all day, but it gets a little scaly after about 6-8 hours. Maybe not the best for dry skin for long term.

I’m giving this 3 stars because of the smell. The product is great. One coat full -coverage and just what I wanted for a matte full- coverage foundation. But I don’t know why Tarte does this- even their Tape Face- the perfume smell is so strong it triggers my asthma. I can’t deal with it all day. It is SUCH a strong scent of 80 year old woman perfume. Like, who wants a scented foundation? Just make it normal. Come on, Tarte.

Great foundation covers my facial brown age spots and fine lines, gives a very smooth appearance very pleased with it, it lasts longer if I do a layer then let it dry for ten minutes then put another layer on. Lasts for about 4/5 hrs . Looks natural I’m 64 but makes my skin look younger
