Aluminum Backed Aluminized Self Adhesive 12'' X 48’',Fiberglass Thermal Insulation Material High Temp Protection

I wanted a heat barrier for the bottoms of my Givi 37 hard bags on my ZX14R. Not that they were needed because of any specific issue, it just that there's like two fingers air gap between the exhaust cans and the bags, and the bags ARE plastic.... So after trying a few other products this one seems to be doing the trick after a few months daily usage. Here's the two things that are working and a trick that's sealed the deal: First off these are actually fiberglass mats between adhesive and aluminum. Thin enough to mold and form, but they actually do reduce heat noticeably. The inside of the bags right above the exhaust is no warmer than the surrounding plastics. Second the adhesive! This has truly been the Achilles Heel of all other products. This plastic is not smooth but roughened (like a bead blast finish), and ALL other adhesives would release after a few days from a clean prepped surface. This product has not had that issue - entirely...I did have some delamination at the cut corners and leading edges that was easily rectified with some "Shoe goo"! Months have gone by and everything is as it was when initially installed. Good product choice.

good and thick. easy to work with. easy install on a CAI. seems to help with heat soak but time will tell for the durability. easy to cut also.

This is a good wrap for the money, however a couple things to keep in mind. I bought this to wrap some silicone hose in my engine bay. I found the adhesive to be lacking for my application, but you might be able to make it work depending on what you use it for. The other thing to keep in mind is that this for sure contains fiberglass. Take proper precautions when cutting it. Use gloves and a mask and goggles depending on what you use it for. This is a fiberglass wrap.

I am amazed Yes it worked as expected! The surface that used to get really warm now is cool to the touch even with the warmest fire going.

The adhesive is very tacky and will stick to virtually anything… I used a partial amount of this for some lines that are near a heat source. Overall very good product and it works well to reflect heat away from what you want it to do.

Worked great. The oem insulation around my trucks AC evaporator was gone so . Unwrapped it and the rest of the system going into the firewall with this. It truly helped my AC stay cooler. Easy to apply I would recommend this for anywhere you are looking to deflect heat.

I've been running the stuff on my atv for almost a year to keep heat off my plastics and fuel tank as the gas was boiling. The gas still boiles but only after 4hrs of continues riding. My machines are 90%mud machines so buying this product I wasn't sure how it would work out. Now I ca. Say for sure it's held up and made a great improvement on heat soak. Put about 300 miles and 120hrs on my machine funding mud up to the handle bars. Using non deleted decreases to clean the machine. The product is 100% perfect. Buying more for me new mud build.

I used this to insulate the plastic heat barrier between the engine and seats on my 2022 Honda Pioneer 520 side x side. Don't expect this insulation to work miracles, because it is fairly thin, but it does work well within reason. Because it is thin, it can be molded, shaped, & trimmed to fit almost any contour and surface. The adhesion is very strong and once it is pressed flat against a surface and all the wrinkles removed, it's on there.
