The New York Times Mega Book of Sunday Crosswords: 500 Puzzles

I love this book of crosswords but the print is very small and the ink is faint so get a magnifying glass!

It is a fine book and my wife enjoys crosseds. However the print of the book for this book is small. She is 77 in age which makes the type hard to read. She loves crosswords.

These are very challenging puzzles which I prefer. However, often they are challenging due to poor clues. After doing these puzzles, the Sunday NY Times puzzles seem easy.

Nothing but the best - that's what NY Times puzzles are. This large book is a bargain. Recommend you buy it.

My husband loves his crosswords but many that are available at gas stations and grocery stores are not great. The hints either don't feel challenging or are far too niche to make it fun. I found this as a Christmas gift for him and he loves it. The NYT crosswords are truly the perfect bit of challenging but actually doable (especially when camping with no service).

It's a big, wonderful collection of NY Times Sunday crosswords and I looked forward to solving them; it's how I relax. However, now that I've had a chance to look at them, the typeface for the clues is very small. Even with my strongest reading glasses, I'm hard-pressed to make out the words. I haven't succumbed to buying one of those full sheet magnifier things that a lot of us old-timers rely on but I hesitate to order one from the "Carol Wright" catalog because once they get a hold of your address, they never give up! But come to think of it, I WOULD love a pair of those "Diabetic Shearling Slippers" so maybe I'll bite the bullet! In the meantime, I'll be getting a different brand of crossword book tomorrow. It's not in the 'large print format' because my eyes aren't quite that bad yet, but at 75 I guess I'll have to accept with grace the changes that come with time. I'll keep you posted! I didn't beat the window of opportunity to return the book so I guess it will go to charity or to a friend who still has most of their eyesight. I'll wrap it like a present and keep mum that it was meant for me!

This is not a book you’ll be carrying around or taking on vacation. It weighs a ton! Great, challenging puzzles though. Don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

This is the perfect book for crossword lovers. The puzzles are fun and challenging and will provide months of entertainment if you ration them!

We've done a lot of NY Times crosswords and these are the perfect balance of challenging and entertaining. Sharpen your pencil -- there's a lot here to feast on. We're also delighted to have something that will last us more than a year. Super value!

Very good value but because it is so large pay the extra dollars for the coiled version. We are glad we did.

Excellent, but either the crossword puzzles are getting harder or I’m getting older. I used to rattle these things off in my 50s, but I’m in my 60s and have only managed to complete two of the first 20.🤗
