Do these have a memory function such that if toggled with a smart outdoor switch they resume the last setting?

Was disappointed to find out there is not a memory function so the setting would stay when using a timer or switch. HOWEVER if you take off the toggle for the different settings and just use the plug the default color when turned on is constant soft white and will stay that way when turning off and on.

How many channels of lights does this sring have?

If I remember right 6 to 7 different patterns

Light setting .. how do you keep the lights on one mode instead of doing all 8?

There is a button on the plug area, you press it until it gets to the mode you want. The only issue is, when you turn them off, they start over with all modes when they go back on and you have to change it every time.

Cheaper leds tend to have a high frequency flicker that's annoying to many. i see no mention of the power supply preventing it, any comments?

We love the lights themselves. Of the 8 blinking options, we find only option 2 somewhat acceptable. All other option just blink too fast. The fading option is somewhat ok except that it it shuts off the lights completely before coming back on again. FYI, we use the lights indoors.
