Can someone please explain how to use the chime or doorbell mode? No matter what I do I can’t get them to set right.

The description may not be very clear. But it's really switchable. Let me give you more details. Push the switch in the OFF position (down), open the batteries box, take out the battery, reload the batteries, and cover the batteries cover. PUT THE MAGNET CLOSE TO THE HOST. Push the switch to ON position (up), then you will hear the first sound (default mode), which is alarm mode. Within 3 seconds, when you push the switch from OFF to ON, you will hear the second sound-continuous alarm mode; Within 3 seconds, when you push the switch from OFF to ON, you will hear the third sound-reminding closing mode; Within 3 seconds, when you push the switch from OFF to ON, you will hear the fourth sound-the doorbell mode. At this time, separate the small magnet, will emit a doorbell sound. After the mode has been set, if the switch is switched on to OFF again, the sound mode will be restored to the default alarm mode. In order to change the sound mode, it needs to be reset according to the above method.

Our freezer door was left open again. would this work to let us know it was left open. can i turn it off when i need to get into the freezer?

If you turn it off to open the freezer and don’t turn it back on it won’t help remind you to close it. If you choose to keep it on it will make a sound (dependent on the setting you have it on) until the door is shut again.

Easy to install and LOUD!

Needed to install an alarm anytime someone opened a door. At first didn't have high expectations considering the price point, but it definitely beat it. There is also a switch so you can disarm the alarm as needed.It came with everything needed to get it up and running. The battery and double sided tape are included with each set.Would recommend wearing ear plugs during the initial install as its quite loud.Overall quite happy with my purchase.

Good cheap burglar alarm. Useless door close warning

The door close warning mode has no delay at all. The alarm starts going off immediately when you open the door. This mode is supposed to help when you forget to close the door. Not go off immediately.

WHEW.. These are honestly TOO loud.

These will literally make you deaf.. they’re definitely easy to install. As for being easy to use..? They are actually TOO easy.. I bought these to keep the kids out of the pantry where the junk food is. But it is honestly way too easy to deactivate these.. Even for a 6 year old.Also, one of them didn’t even work. It wouldn’t read the magnet so it just kept screaming.
