Is it a lot faster charging then the 550 watt charger?

Hi there, great question. Here is an example. A 5.0 Ah battery takes 50 minutes with the CH5500 whereas this charger would charge the battery in 35 minutes. Thank you for your question.

Can you plug your rapid charger in a car outlet?

Only if your car has a 120v. outlet in it which most cars don’t have unless equipped with an inverter which takes the dc voltage from the battery & makes 120vac.

I would like to know if using a fast/turbo charger will shorten the life of the battery?

That's a good question. From pass experiences with rapid chargers for lithium batteries, I haven't found the battery life to shorten quicker than normal degradation after a few years of usage.

It is not a speed charger but it works as expected expecially if you have multiple batteries

Bought this because we had 5 batteries. Since all EGO batteries are interchangeable, we have duplicates so that some are always ready to switch out. This charger is great. It is compact and charges two at a time so we never run out of battery power.
