Wire splices for for low voltages Review: Works great with low voltage wire - Arrived on time, pack of 100. I used it for 22g wire. Super easy in that you don't have to strip the wire either! At first it didn't work; but that was my error. I hadn't crimped it hard enough. I actually went back with a regular pair of vice grips---set so the vice would just touch when closed and then used it to clamp on each connector. Immediately it worked. Love these and what a time saver too! Review: Work great - These work much better for low voltage applications than wire nuts

The splices are making good crimps with no failures.
I’m using these to connect wired alarm contact sensors to a Ring Alarm System. They are working good for the splices in need to do.

One end is closed and thus cannot insert wire from both sides of the splice.
These are not what I am used to when the term splice is used in the name. Typically a splice is used in reference to allowing a wire to be installed from each side of the splice. This device is instead heat shrunk closed on one side and your connecting wires are both inserted from the same side. It accomplishes the purpose without a problem but does have a potential wiring and securing implications. The connector is already somewhat compressed for each one, thus your opening for the wire is more oval than round. I used a pair of pliers to squeeze the sides and make them round to insert my wires. Additionally, the size of wiring is limited to 2 18 gauge or 304 22 gauge wires. Since they are labeled for low voltage wiring, this is more than adequate, but it would be important information to know so you can be prepared. One really nice feature is that inside of the splice there are several teeth that grab the wires as they are inserted. This feature provides significant assurance that the wires will not easily be removed once crimped.

Make sure you order more then you think you need, they go fast
It's amazing how many of these you go thru and they work because I have made mistakes and try to get the wires out and had to destroy it to get the wires out and it came out in two pieces what was of time . Don't know what they could do to make these any better, I have tried a lot of other type. These work!

Great for hard wired alarm systems
The price was great, couldn't buy these locally and was very happy with quality. Make sure connecting wire is tightly twisted and properly sized for splice and fully stuff the wire end into the splice before crimping tough on wires to be sure properly secured after crimping

Good but expensive compared to other vendors
What could I say these work perfectly quick easy effective. For the price though I usually get them for less but needed them in a hurry so bought them from Amazon almost double the price
