Not working properly
NNot functioning correctly. The strip color remains unchanged even after testing before and after going through the water conditioner. I do not recommend this product.

Truth be told ...
Truth be told - I was cynical However, I'm pleasantly surprised. The strips work very well, and I can be 100% sure about this because I have my water softener connected to the hot water only. This is how I wanted it to be setup. I do not want my drinking water softened any more than it is, I actually have a separate filter for that anyway So, I did two tests, and as you can see from the photo. Green is the hot water tap result, and light brown is the cold water tap result. In a nutshell my hot water is soft, and my drinking water is mildly soft. Perfect! All-in-all a conclusive result and there are plenty of strips to last a very long time Would I recommend this product? 100% YES!

Very imprecise. Go electronic instead.
Very imprecise. Colors change and fade, and even if you manage to do it right, you end up with a wide scale between two colors and you have to estimate with a LOT of error margin. Buy an electronic tool instead, don’t waste your money on this.

Perfect for Testing Water Hardness
These water hardness test strips are quick, accurate, and very easy to use. The color chart is clear, and I got results in about 30 seconds. They work great for checking tap water, filtered water, and my water softener. With 150 strips included, it's an excellent value for the price. I highly recommend them for anyone who wants to monitor water hardness at home.
