I want to make a bag, is it soft to work with, Will it hurt my hands

This cord is soft to work with/easy on your hands! I have made some wall hanging with it and it worked great! I plan on buying more in the future!

Can this be machine washable since it is cotton?

I haven’t washed it yet. I don’t know why you couldn’t if you used cool water and gentle cycle. I will be trying this. I make bags/ purses with my cotton yarn and wash them. They come out just fine.
