It can be used to wirelessly control the temperature of ROOM within a zone that is already managed by a Tado zone controller / internet bridge pairing. It measures the room temperature instead of the TRV(s) in that room, and thus regulates the temperature of that room far more accurately than a TRV alone can because it’s not screwed directly onto a 60c heat source.
