I didn’t see any access to the battery so I’m going to say no.

Does it come with the case?

Yes it comes with the case. The case has snap buttons that hold the pods in place and mesh pockets that hold the wires and electrodes.

Does the device shut off during phone calls , text, email, or alerts from apps?

Phone calls not sure never tried it but you can navigate away from the app for texts, email, etc..and it will still continue with whichever program you selected.
