Howoften should both the black filters and white filters be replaced?

Hi Ingrid , the pf-2 filters have to be replaced every year , put a small piece of masking tape on the back of the filter and write the date they were installed ... And the Black berkey filters should be replaced every 6000 gallons , also they advise you ( the company ) to put a table spoon of red dye in with the water ,this way when it starts to leach the dye in the lower container it's time to change the black filters , I personally take the black filters out every 2 months to rinse them , hope that helps ...

Yes, these are true Berkey products. All Berkey products that we carry come directly from the manufacturer. In the picture, there are no markings with the product number or the flow direction. The filters do have the correct markings on them when you get them.
