Doesn’t stay on when press on switch comes on for a moment and goes off am I missing something ?

Thanks for power supply swap tip; will try it. Mine stays on if you don't adjust anything; put it in a different nebula color mode and it shuts down after a minute or so. Star brightness & "breathing rate" do not respond well to remote's buttons.

The stars are stationary and don't move. They have a fixed color green. The stars fade in and out at a configurable speed and brightness.

So this was a gift to me for christmas but the remote is messing with my leds like turning them off, flashing, changing colors.is there a reason why?
