Is this basically benzine/naphtha?

My understanding is that there are different compositions of "One Dip" hairspring cleaner. For example, the one marketed by Bergeon is 99.4% tetrachlorethylene, while the one marketed by Troop-Balas is 99.9% trichlorethylene.

What is this wash for? No description of product.

One of the responses says it is flammable, but the bottle is clearly marked as non-flammable. They may be thinking of a different product.

Careful with One Dip

This comes in a one. cup container, sealed inside a.plastic bag. It didn’t leak. .. State of California considers it a carcinogen. I understand that One Dip is almost exclusively trichloroethylene. TCE is used in pavement labs to strip the asphalt from pavement samplesin to measure the aggregate. It’s strong stuff! Don’t breathe it and don’t get it on you. Wear gloves when handling it! That said, it should do the job. Delivery was on time and placement was as asked. I have not used it yet.

Absolutely the best jewelry & watch cleaner!

This stuff is simply amazing and works beyond all expectations. Dipped my 25 year old Submariner in it for one minutes and then invested five minutes in buffing with a microfiber cloth and my beaten up old Rolex looks new. Great product for cleaning jewelry & watches. Also, had success in cleaning my 18 carat bracelets and an older Verchon that looks amazing for a 80 year old watch. Great stuff and highly recommend it Best watch and jewelry cleaner anywhere. Pricey but well worth the money.
