Great quality, sound, just want I needed for in ear monitors.

This review is for the KZ ZSN PRO X model of IEM. I am driving them with a Fiio BTR5 portable DAC/AMP. TLDR; Whether you're into hi-fi and lossless audio or just need a solid inexpensive, comfortable pair of earbuds, these are a must-buy. For my ears, which are medium sized, these fit better than any earbuds I've ever used before. The shape and over the ear cable design is comfortable, even when wearing a mask and glasses. Included eartips should cover most users, however you can find better aftermarket eartips. The build quality is fantastic, my only compliant would be how thin the cable is. I prefer heavier looser cables like the one from Tripowin which you can replace the default cable with. For the money however, the cable is actually pretty good and isn't easy to tangle. With the included eartips, the sound is really good. The highs are crisp and well articulated without being tinny. The mids sound great as well, and the bass doesn't seem to muddy them up. Speaking of the bass, its the star of the show. The transient response is fantastic. Kicks are punchy and clean as ever. Bassheads will love these. Female vocals sound fantastic, and so do male vocals. The soundstage is wider than it has any right to be at this price range and in the form of an IEM. The overall tuning is v shaped, with a bump to the bass and highs. The passive noise cancelling from the default eartips is alright, but these really come into their own when you upgrade the eartips to foam. With foam eartips i find them to be more comfortable, and better sounding. Bass seems to be stronger and warmer, and of course, the noise cancelling is significantly improved. I'd recommend these to listeners of any genre, to audiophiles and typical consumers alike.

Before you make up your mind about these, make sure you try them with a tip that fits your ears right. The default tips were waaaaay too big for me, so my first impression was weak and tiny sound. That is not the case at all. These are great when they fit right. I'm perfectly content listening to music on these on the go, which is honestly more than I expected, especially at this price. I love that the cord is replaceable because I tend to destroy cords despite my best efforts. Especially on something like this that I intend to travel with. They're pretty comfortable. I appreciate that the cord can rest on top of your ear, it takes a little of the pressure off the inside of my ear, which is usually what causes me discomfort with earbuds. So far I'm okay wearing these for a couple hours. They look great too. Imo this is a much more stylish look than something boring and plain like airpods. I'm glad there are still some companies trying to make something different.

I purchased these with the intention to use them as audio monitors for streaming. So far they're absolutely perfect for that job! Their sound profile is as flat as they come but that's not a bad thing in this case. Pros: 1. Comfortable to wear 2. Multiple bud size options 3. Sturdy quality construction Cons: 1. No clear indicators on driver's or cable of which is left or right. Conclusion: These are absolutely the first pair of in ears that actually fit and stay put. Like I mentioned above, the sound profile is flat making these not very fun or enjoyable for music but perfect for monitoring audio or listening to a podcast. They feel strong yet light and made to last. I strongly recommend these if you need some in ear monitors for your production work.
