Good quality and would recommend
Works well! But, it is a workout! I’m in decent shape and do workout/run regularly and if I would have done my whole yard in one go it would have been exhausting. But, I only did various areas combined that needed it, to about ~1000sq ft. I’m 6ft and weight 225lbs and all tines held up well. Ground must be recently watered though or this would be tough to do on dry or caliche ground. I’m pretty athletic and found that if I hopped on it like a pogo stick with both feet it seemed to be easier than bearing down with only one leg after a prolonged time of using. Would not be safe though with someone not as agile or with poor balance and attempting this technique I was using. Another thing is please don’t try to do this with flip flops as my wife did. Ridiculous! Wear boots or tennis shoes. Overall, good product ! Would diff recommend! Love that you can replace tines if needed. But, they are solid and think this tool will last awhile if not lifetime. Other thing I might add is I prefer the 3 tines. I found it easier to get into tight areas. Made it easy to use! Glad I purchased this instead of renting a machine.

It's very sturdy and works just as described. DAMP ENOUGH SOIL IS THE KEY!
I was just out using this tool after a recent rain today and decided I should write my review. Looks like I have had this for a year. First off, the metal is very sturdy. I have no expectation that any normal, or even vigorous use would break any part of this tool. I have used it maybe 10 times in one year. The WHOLE trick to this, as people have described, is to catch your lawn after enough rain. If you do that, this tool goes in smoothly to full depth and works perfectly. Be sure to work backwards with it and you will be impressed at how much you can do in a small amount of time. I work in sections so I don't freak out some joint in my hip or knee by the odd new jerking motions. Maybe I do 25 minutes and then do some more later in the day or the next day. If you were young, and the soil was at the proper dampness, you could a 25'x25' section in well under an hour. Now be aware, that if you lawn is like mine, you may catch a day when just the right amount of your lawn is damp and perfect for this tool to work on almost all of the lawn. But there are still sections of my lawn where the dirt is so compact, or dryer, maybe under a tree, that the tool will only go in 4 inches. I think that is just the nature of most lawns. For those areas, which are maybe 10% of my lawn, you either water them more or just be happy with the 4 inches. The tool seems to clean itself just fine with each push, leaving 4 inch plugs. Again, if the soil is damp enough the soil plugs easily push out with each down thrust. Nothing gets stuck anywhere. The tines have stayed sharp enough to work just like day one so far. I am trying to think of a complaint. The top of the rectangle where your foot pushes down. It might be helpful to have the metal have crosscut lines there or something to create some friction so your foot doesn't slide if wet. I put my foot on the top bar. The Landzie videos show people using the bottom one. Just a preference. The cost? I could see people thinking that is a bit much, if they don't wait till their lawn is damp enough. But I do expect it will last for a lifetime. It is a heavy piece of metal. When I curse up at the sky because of some plastic POS garden tool that has snapped off or stopped working, I always include in my curse to god that I would be glad to pay more if there was just a place to buy well made, metal garden tools. I deem this a rare, well-built garden tool that works just as described on reasonably normal soil - if you use it when the soil is damp enough - just like you would need to do if using a large gas powered aerator.

Hard work for first aeration
First, I was pretty disappointed to see this listed $30 cheaper just a couple weeks after I bought it here. Second, I used this for the 1st time on about 1200sq ft and it was kind of brutal, but effective. I’d recommend renting a machine for 1st or 2nd time aerating if soil is particularly compacted. I first tackled it a day or 2 after rain and it was hard, but doable. The next day when I tried to resume I couldn’t penetrate the ground at all, so I had to water and wait another day to be able to finish. I was pretty wrecked after 2 days of this as it was hard work. It can be hard to push the tines and they get clogged a lot. Most of my soil is excavated dirt from a new home build. I may have been better off getting the spikes instead and using those first until soil was less compacted.

Durable Tool, Definitely Worth The Money!
We’ve used this item for approximately 3/4 of an acre which was slow and a bit tedious but after over 50 to 60 hours of use, I feel that they are made with high quality and are durable. The Hollow tines needed to be tightened after each use of 1 to 2 hours but otherwise, I feel that it is a quality tool and I would definitely recommend to anyone who has the patience to aerate their lawn manually. This tool works best when the ground is moist so it is is importantn to aerate with this tool after a good rain.

Landzie Aerator, Lawn Care Cross-Fit
This tool works really well, especially if you read the instructions and the lawn is nice and wet. That said, This tool kicked my butt. My front lawn is around 2,200sq/ft, and it took me 4 hours to complete it with this tool. It never clogged and was very sturdy. That said, my smartwatch thought I was doing cross-fit. My heart was racing as I tried to power through my lawn. My watch was cheering me on like I was in a triathlon. My body felt like it was hit by a truck the next day. However, the tool never failed, the only failure was my lack of using my gym membership. I think I may replace my cardio with this tool. All things considered, on quality of construction ,and not my lack of cardiovascular conditioning, I would buy any Lanzie product before buying a cheaper budget product. Buy once, cry once. I'm considering buying the compost spreader next. If the spreader is of equal quality as the aerator, then It should last not only my lifetime, but my son's too. I will say, my favorite thing about this product was that someone clearly thought about the design. The tines are easily changeable, and you can never wear out the handle. I'm definitely a Landzie fan now.

Good idea but not for my ground
I’m sure this worked for someone with really soft ground, but I couldn’t get more than 1/2” deep. Only 1/4” deep with body weight and rocking side to side. I ended up slamming it down over and over with full body weight like I do in the gym with a medicine ball. I bent the tips on the first rock I hit. Only did 10’x20’ and this took so much out of me. I’m renting a power one next time.

Time Consuming - But amazing build quality, but for very small lawn area
Build quality is excellent. If you have a small area you want aerated, then this is the tool for you. In my opinion, if you have a large lawn, you will be there for a very long time punching holes with this tool. I have a large front and back lawn. I ended up doing the entire back lawn and did not even consider my front lawn. Ended up using a normal aerator machine which was much much quicker and just the best overall choice. Now my back lawn looks amazing with the reseeding and having used this tool to aerate it but it tool hours - never again. Gave tool to a friend of mine, who has a tiny area he wants to aerate and he was happy with is. All in all great tool, well built but unless you don't mind being outside for hours punching holes, rent an aerator or have a landscaper do it. Will be worth the money. Update Landzie customer service contacted me following my review (above) and based on the review refunded my money. I must say, I was totally surprised. Simply put - Outstanding Customer service and they are true to their appeal to customer satisfaction no matter what. Many companies should emulate this outstanding service. I will still maintain the Landzie aerator is a solid and extremely well build device for smal lawn area aeration. For large lawns - standard method renting or hiring a landscaper to aerate with machine. As I mentioned, I gave it to my neighbor who loves it and is able to utilize it on small areas. Kudos to Landzie and their excellent support. I also ordered the Landzie Compost spreader - which is also solid build quality and really helped me establish amazing front and back lawns. Highly recommend this product!!!!

Buy it!
I love this tool. Easy for small parts of the yard and pulled those plugs out beautifully. When I used this over spring/summer last year to remedy poorly draining spots and compacted spots, it worked amazing. My lawn looks amazing.

Calidad y eficacia
Perfecto para airear el suelo. Mejor estando mojado. Lleva su trabajo pero con el tiempo el césped lo agradece y mucho.

Water is your friend
Very well made, strong and sturdy. Initially wasn’t impressed. I had read that the grass/ground needs to be wet, it had rained so I thought it would be ok. However, when I tried the hollow tines only went in by half an inch and didn’t pull out any plugs but just made the shape of the circular tines. I have a lawn area on the side of the house that is mainly in the shade and therefore the rain doesn’t dry off quickly. When I tried this area the hollow tines worked perfectly, plugs came out easily. So, as many have said the lawn needs to be particularly wet to a good depth which can be difficult if your lawn drains well, or possibly is very compacted, which I think my front lawn is. I will need to soak the front lawn and then I think I will be ok. Your lawn and your back will thank you if you water.

Een plezier om mee te werken.
Iedere cent waard!
