Can I clean my sofa seat covers whithout taking them off? Does the interior foam get wet?

This carpet cleaner did not work for me. It’s like shaving form. I worked hard to clean my sofa with this cleaner. But sorry to say that 5% of my sofa did not clean. I tried to return this. But don’t have return option.

Because it's a fabric cleaner lol you can use the scotch guard protection sprays on shoes so why can't you clean your fabric shoes with the scotch guard fabric cleaner? I think this person was asking if you could clean your shoes with it. I'm also curious if anyone has tried it. I have some i would like to clean before I put the protection spray on them.
