I wear this as a base layer for curling, with a t-shirt on top. It provides a decent thermal layer in a room that averages about 35-40F with some movement. It is thick enough if standing still in those temps to be somewhat comfortable, but a light jacket is usually needed. The compression is great since it keeps it tight to my body and out of the way during active sports so I can focus on what matters most rather than dealing with clothing. Price is fair, though, make sure to get it during the off season.

I bought this as a first layer to go hiking at the Chilean Patagonia. It kept me warm at 0° and sometimes below (as a first layer). Even when I removed my jackets and only used this, it protected me from gusts of icy wind. Where I live I can use it by itself at 12° and no issues of coldness. The style looks good on my and feels very soft inside. It’s breathable. The quality felt good at first but after a long hike it started to show bits of motes, and for what it costs, this should not happen this early. It is expensive.

I love these for winter (I also use the heat gear daily in warmer months) and use them daily to help keep warm (without the bulk of a jacket) because I work outside for most of the day. I bought some of these from a golf store first and they were manufactured in 2022 (the inside tag will have this information) and they are noticeably heavier than the ones I purchased from Amazon that had a 2023 manufacturing date. The ones from 2022 feel a bit thicker all over, while the ones from 2023 are the same in the arms but thinner in the rest of the shirt. The ones from 2023 also seem a bit smaller by a smidgen (could be due to the thinner body material). I decided to order more from the golf store and return the ones from Amazon. That said, I would absolutely order these from Amazon again if I didn't have the option of buying more of the older stock but since I do I have exercised that option. In the future when I need more or a different color, I wouldn't think twice about getting the newer manufactured ones. If I didn't have the old ones to compare it to, I would have perfectly happy with these new units and they are still great compression shirts for cold weather. I also noticed a lot of folks mentioned that they ran super small but that's not the case IMO, these fit the same as the heat gear compression shirts and I wear those for most of the year every single day. Compression gear is supposed to be tight and second skin like, plus they tend to stretch a bit after extensive use. In fact, my heat gear shirts don't fit nearly as tight after six months of use and I expect the same from the cold gear ones but at a slightly longer interval as the material is thicker. I'm Not sure why anyone would want lose compression gear, but if so, order two/three sizes above what you normally would or better yet, don't order compression gear. They also make a fitted version in the cold gear and that may be a better choice for some. Compression = tight and it fits right.

Great priced fitted compression shirt, very useful for layering under my work clothes. The fabric is thin but suprisingly warm. Sleeve length is perfect not short or too long its just right. The only reason its not 5 stars is the threading keeps frailing away.

Super tight. be aware that this will feel like a fit three times smaller than ordered. So, my 2XL felt like a Medium. Good for extreme cold and working outside all day in the cold, but not good for anything else.
