Very easy to understand and to do the test
I was treating for anchorworm and using the copper medication. This shows you a color indicator and matching scale. All you do is fill a small vial with tank water and add 10 drops of a solution. You compare the color, its all easy.

Worked like a charm
This copper test kit worked well when I had a bout of ich that I needed to treat in my 55 gallon tank -- I used Mardel Coppersafe (now being resold again by Fritz Aquatics). I didn't have any trouble reading the level of copper when I looked down through the tube after placing it on a light colored surface (sheet of paper works well). I will say that this kit did NOT work with the Kordon Copper Aid that I originally purchased from Petco, but seeing as I ended up having to buy the Mardel to get rid of the ich, I think it was probably something with that medication and I was afraid of overdosing because the instructions and the level of copper according to the test kit weren't even close in lining up. All in all, recommended if you are treating your tank with a copper-based medication. As a side note, my tank is planted and has black fin corydoras in it and both suffered no ill effects.

Easy to use
I only needed to use it once so far.

Old Product/Short Expiration Date
Easy to use. Advertised as capable of performing 90 tests. I received product on 2/25. Box and bottle have stamped expiration date of 8/25. If you did a weekly test, you would only be able to perform 26 tests before the solution was past its expiration date and unreliable. Should not be selling a product that is almost expired upon arrival.

Works well
Bought this copper test kit as it is compatible with Copper Power in a QT. Seems to work just fine and I will purchase another one when needed.

Kill your fish with this
Terrible to read accuracy. Showed I was much lower than .5. I didn't trust it so I purchased the Hanna copper test which is much more accurate at a reading of 1.08. I lost a blonde naso and a wrasse because of this. Cupramine so high is no good. They should stop selling this product.

Many tests in one bottle.
My new fish started to get the white spots on it. Ich was present. Lost that fish. Treated the tank with CopperSafe and have kept the rest alive. With this treatment I didn’t have to change all the water or raise the water temperature.

Works as intended

It's easy enough to use. Reading the result is a bit iffy made even more difficult because the colour chart was missing. A quick refund followed which was good. I have assumed that with absolutely no colour showing in my test sample there is no copper. To be sure I have sent for the Seachem one. If I don't update this review please assume the results agreed.

Very inaccurate for saltwater aquariums. Not eligible for returns.

This test will give you a rough idea of copper levels in your tank. If that’s enough for you, then I recommend it.

Dosing my marine QT with culpramine, a non-chelated copper which any copper test should be able to pick up. This test would have had me kill my fish. It reported a value of between 0.1 and 0.2. My usual and trusted (albeit expensive) brand of test kit reported bang on 0.5. It’s also almost impossible to read between 0.2 and 0.5, the colours are almost identical according to the indicator card. Do not buy this junk. I use this brand for other tests, but do not buy their copper tests kit, mine is now in the bin where it belongs.
