What Does It Taste Like?

It has a sweet creamy vanilla taste. The custard has the constancy of cream you would get in a eclair.

I know clotted crème is illegal but is this custard illegal as well? In America

What makes you think it is illegal? I have used Ambrosia Devon Custard for years. It is delicious and legal!

would this be considered the already made version of Birds Custard? Is the consistency the same?

You can get different versions of Birds, instant or the tin you add milk etc.. This custard is creamy, tastes similar but obviously very convenient as you can eat hot or cold. Love it cold on hot pie!
