Hello, please visit: http://cdn.meccano.com/notice/a0252df8db31f6e0a48127541fb13129.pdf for instructions.

What age is it recommended for

It is for ages 10 and upI bought it and had to return it as age was not in description

Can I buy just the motor part that comes in this set somewhere?

Buy a car kit with the motor you need. That way, you have more pieces.

I see a lot of bad reviews regarding missing pieces... Is there something we can do to avoid it before the purchase?

I dont think so when i got mine there was no missing pieces
