The new children’s book from No. 1 bestselling author David Walliams – a deliciously daft Tall Story of a child who had everything, but still wanted more. Illustrated by artistic genius, Tony Ross. Meet the Meeks! Myrtle Meek has everything she could possibly want. But everything isn’t enough. She wants more, more , MORE! When Myrtle declares she wants a FING, there’s only one problem… What is a FING? Mr and Mrs Meek will do anything to keep their darling daughter happy, even visit the spooky library vaults to delve into the dusty pages of the mysterious Monsterpedia . Their desperate quest leads to the depths of the jungliest jungle where the rarest creatures can be found. But will they ever find a FING? An explosively funny, totally surreal Tall Story about two perfectly nice parents and their unbelievably monstrous daughter from the phenomenal bestselling author David Walliams. Review: An action packed book!!! - I am eight years old. It’s a book that is full with action and fun. it’s an incredible story and I love the Fing and it’s giant poops! Review: We want more MORE! - We love the writing style. We loved the characters and the story line. Great metáfora for those kids that are a nightmare for parents. My son 9 loves David Walliams Books. “Mom, we are keeping this one!”

An enjoyable read
An enjoyable read, written in David Walliams incomparable style. Not as great as some of his other books, this one seemed a tad rushed. In fact it's the only one of his books we don't have a hard copy of.

Poor book binding
Excellent story, but had to get the first book replaced because all the pages fell out after one read. So far, the second book is holding up.

Boring
We got this book after a friend recommended, assuring all books by this author are amazing. I was not impressed at all. The kids (8 and 6) enjoyed but didn't love the story. It was a read aloud at night time and we went through it pretty fast. However it was not a pleasurable reading for me, since the nonsense and exaggerated attempt for being funny (while rarely actually being) are not my type of reading... We got other books by the author but I will keep them for when the boys want to read themselves lol I suppose I expected a type of story and got disappointed that it didn't go nearly close to what I imagined. The ending was nice. In this book it looks like a lot is happening while nothing is really happening or importante. It is hard to explain, you have to read it... If you have a few hours to waste.
