Luca

Luca is one of the sweetest and most adorable Disney/Pixar films!! The very retro 1950s/1960s ambience (music, clothes, etc) is the perfect nostalgia needed these days! A beautiful piece of cinematic art set in the Italian Riviera! The music is stunning and worth owning on its own. This is a lovely story about friendship, family, kindness, sacrifice and putting others first. The script is both humorous and touching. Supporting characters are thoroughly well done instead of just slapped in the background. In my opinion, the best Pixar film since Cars! This film is pure, sweet, funny and uplifting. An addition to any home- a great movie for both children AND adults to enjoy! Bravo!

My kids and I love this movie. The music is wonderful, it teaches a lot about compassion and understanding of people that are different than yourselves. It's an adorable movie. So glad we bought it.

We started to watch it and the baby didn't really pay it much attention so we turned it off it was really great quality

Seems to be set in the late 50's or early 60's on the low rent section of Italian Riviera. These Sea monkeys out a water are just so clueless, cute & plucky. Scales or no, you just can't help but root for them. Last time a Vespa was so important to a movie's plot was in Roman Holiday. Granted most kids won't get the classic Italian cinema Easter eggs, but many of us adult cinephiles will. Fun story, well written & beautifully rendered. I wanted to go for a swim in those Mediterranean waters. Voice actors top notch. Grand Ma fish & uncle "Deep Dive" at the end are a FOFL hoot! Also DVD came on time and in great condition. Price was nice too.

Pixar has been “missing” and not hitting for me lately. But because I watched Elemental and LOVED it, I decided to go back and watch some of the other Pixar movies I missed. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed Luca. The message of the movie is that of freedom. That there is a line between allowing your children to be free to explore their passions (in this case, Luca’s passion to purse an education of the human world) and being too controlling (parents wanted to take him deeper into the ocean away from the surface, similar to being locked away in the house). That being TOO controlling can result in your children resenting you and thus disobeying and acting out. That theme is VERY similar to The Little Mermaid, but with a young boy. It is also a message of friendship, sacrifice and sharing. Basically of controlling love versus unselfish love. It was beautiful. The musical score was also incredible. I am sort-of getting bored with the photorealistic look to every movie, but it is pretty if you like that. All in all, it’s really good. Interestingly enough, received an “Only at Target” edition.

Llegó muy bien, tanto el empaque del estuche como los discos tanto el Blu-ray como el DVD región 1 se miran muy bien en el reproductor de Blu-ray de mi familia en mi casa (ya que mi reproductor no se conectó jamás a Wi-Fi por actualizaciones), así que si reproduce mis DVDS [región 1 y 4]). En cuanto a la película, una historia muy bonita y conmovedora, buena animación, personajes entrañables, y el hermoso mensaje que deja sobre la amistad.

I know buying Blu-rays is a bit outdated, but Luca is such a cute movie that I couldn't resist purchasing it for our in-car entertainment! The animation is beautiful, and it’s a fun, heartwarming story that the whole family enjoys. Definitely worth having on hand for road trips or any family movie night!

Great movie and no sexual content either. Rare gem in modern disney movies.

Bellissimo. Ambientato in Italia piú precisamente a Genova. Mi é piaciuto molto da rivedere

Es la historia sobre la amistad y la aceptacion atraves de los ojos de su joven protagonista Alberto, un monstruo marino llamado Luca, y que la historia se desarrolla en un pueblo costero de la Rivera Italiana. Pelicula que a su vez recibio nominaciones en la categoria de Pelicula Animada en el 2022 en los Oscares y en los Globos de Oro. Por otra parte, la pelicula me llego en buen estado y dentro de la fecha de entrega. Cuenta con subtitulos y hablada en español latino .
