My son kept saying โThis is so much fun!โ
I got this cute, little game for my sonโs 5th birthday. He loves math and enjoys board games. I knew the subject matter would be a hit. I assumed that I was taking a risk because the game is for 8+. We tried the game out and had a few issues with his young age. The overall math concept was easy and fun. The instructions were clear and I found that I could contact the Logic Roots creators for help. I emailed them for advice. The company replied the next day with a couple of suggestions tailored just for my son. After applying their modifications, my son kept exclaiming โThis is so much fun!โ and he asks to play it over and over again. There are many different types of math used in this game. He is starting to catch on to the overall concept and even make predictions. One of their suggestions was to end the game after 7 groups of pets got fed. This, shortened the game to a great length. The game was a great choice, they made a difficult concept very easy and fun, and the company was very helpful.

Fun introduction to division!
Fun, effective way of introducing division. Weโve only played the first level, I havenโt yet tried the second and third level. But so far, very impressed! My childโs been a little frustrated, trying to grasp the concept. This made it really easy and fun.

My son likes this game
My son thinks this game if fun because he loves animals and the idea of saving them. I like it because it gets my son practicing division. There are three levels. The second and third levels are fun. The first level is boring but necessary if you are playing with a child who struggles with division and needs smaller numbers to work with. The food pieces and hearts are cheaply made but that really doesnโt matter to me. The only thing I would change about this game is I would make the board bigger so that more players could play. You can have four players but the board is so small that the game would be over in 10 minutes. Two players is perfectly fine for this game. I really do like the illustrations on the main board; theyโre so cute.

Easy to tailor
Great material, well made, and easy to tailor to different ages. I play with my 3 year old and 5 year old. The 3 year old just counts out the food until he runs out and feeds the animal, then the 5 year old will tell me the math problem and answer, ie. 3 pets get 3 food each is 9, 3ร3=9. It has made him more excited about multiplication and has been a great bridge into explaining division.

Slow and convoluted
This is a complicated and slow game. I give the makers credit for the idea. We have a child with ADHD and dyslexia who struggles with math facts, and who loves animals. I thought this would be the perfect, fun way to practice math skills. But, the execution is flawed. First, with each turn, you have to count out up to 48 "food" pieces, which are just tiny cardboard circles. Think about that for a minute. Counting out 48 tiny discs to a bored child. That takes time. And you have to do it with every turn. Then, the child has to deal them out, 1 at a time, among a few pets in order to "divide" and do the math. THAT takes time. I'd say each child's turn took about 5 minutes. That is not a game that's going to hold a child's attention. The game board is also unnecessarily complicated. It has so many seemingly random directional arrows that don't follow any logical pattern. Even the adults got confused about which way to go. (see photo). Then, if you play the advanced version, it gets even more arduous with hundreds of little cardboard hearts to count out with each turn ("Remember, 1 pink heart = 10 read hearts," the instructions helpfully point out). Just ... why? This game is for children and it's more convoluted than some adult games. I asked our daughter what she thought of the game at the end of our first go-round. "It's ... very complicated," was her opinion. She summed it up beautifully.

Math Wizards in the Making
I recently got the Logic Roots Pet Me Multiplication and Division Game, and itโs my new favorite way to educate (and entertain) my kids! ๐ Theyโre so focused on petting the adorable game pieces that they forget theyโre actually learning math. The competition is fierceโmy daughter declared herself โqueen of mathโ while my son sulked like a math loser. The drama is real! If you want to sneak some math skills into your kids' lives while having a blast, this game is a must. Prepare for giggles, โIโm smarter than you!โ moments, and maybe a title of โMath Masterโ in your house. Who knew learning could be this fun? ๐๐๐ถ

Excellent!
I bought this to help my 8 year old granddaughter learn higher math. She LOVES this. She's learning multiplication and division and her 6 year old sister has started playing the game. Their parents and/or I sit with them and help them figure out the math. There are multiple ways to move around the board so there is strategy involved as well. Its just a great game.

Tiny game pieces but good math practice for third grader learning to multiply and divide
My third-grade animal loving girl really likes this game. She's learning multiplication and division facts, and this is right up her alley. She frequently asks to play the game, which is a great thing for a game that's supposed to be educational without feeling too educational. My first grader, however, struggles a little with the tiny game pieces. She doesn't know division and multiplication facts, so dividing, for example, 24 treats for 4 animals into stacks in a very small space requires more fine motor dexterity than she has. I have to help her a lot. This would be a lot easier if the board and pieces were magnetic, but they aren't. We can take up to an hour on this game, so it's not one they finish and want to go back to right away.

Great game
We had a great time with Pet Me. More so because kids found it so easy to start. There is no need to know division in advance and its built into the game play unlike other educational games. The components are of high quality and they have 3 game plays of increasing difficulty. I think this will last us long.

I was pleasantly surprised that this game is not only cute & fun to play
My 7yr old is having trouble with the concept of division, so I decided to purchase this game. I was pleasantly surprised that this game is not only cute & fun to play, but it's definitely reinforcing division (& multiplication) concepts. I love that it comes with "food" counters to assist the child with figuring out the right answer. Even my 11yr old enjoys this game & found it challenging enough. He's quite competitive, so it helps that you compete for hearts by earning them based on your correct answer, luck of the draw and/or strategic play. We really enjoy playing this game & it definitely has an educational value, reinforcing math skills & sportsmanship. Unfortunately our game board came warped, which is why I only gave 4 stars.
