It fits! The subtitle says it: A Collection of Inspired Writings for the Evolving Woman. So many just made me smile in the realization that someone else gets it. I’m not strange - there are others “evolving,” too. The only negative is that the physical book has this horrible smell. Even though I’ve left it lie out in the air, it still smells - stinks - so badly it’s hard to want to keep reading it.

Soulful. This is the word that came to mind as soon as I opened my mail yesterday. From the beautiful book cover artwork to the quote on the back, I knew this was going to be a good one. Usually I like to read a book from from front to back. Decided to take a more spiritual approach. My roommate and I lit candles, meditated and took turns closing our eyes and opening the book to a page that called out to us. The results? Heartwarming and relevant. Each poem we opened up to and read aloud was significant in a special way. Thank you having the courage to follow your inkling to try something different. P.S. I know one of Cara's intentions was for this book to be a good gift. I plan on getting one of these for a lot of women I know. The self awareness and self acceptance in these poems are powerful and needed to be shared. Success!!!!

This is a very empowering book for young and old. I liked it so much I sent one to me young adult daughter. My hope is that it will elt to remind her of her amazing and ambitious spirit on both good and bad days ❤️

These lovely words read like they sprang from the most secret and magical parts of your own heart. Do yourself a favor and make this book a permanent home in your handbag, (or jot down some words that resonate), to revisit in quiet moments throughout your day. STRIPPED is a wistfully wise proclamation of inner resilience that will gently whisper to any stagnant areas of your spirit. Soft in her strength, Leyba quickens your resolve while managing to firmly ground you in each moment, always imparting you with a renewed sense of awe.

This isn’t exactly poetry, it’s just written in simple sentences to look like poetry. However, those sentences contained a lot of encouragement for women and I did find myself marking pages I want to read as little pep talks on hard days. I do recommend. It’s a very quick read.

Honestly, it's one of those books I could read every day. I keep it open on my desk to whatever poem is currently speaking to me, and frequently do the "flip and point" method of coming across a poem, and they always are on point. So well written and such a great book to gift to a girlfriend.

This book was given to me by a dear friend and former student whom I adore...the writings touched my soul and I frequently post them on facebook with credit given to Cara Leyba...friends have responded with appreciation...recently, I purchased a copy (this one) to give to a friend who had done something nice for me...she loves it too... The pages are full of real and powerful thoughtful responses to our lives, to our self perception, our struggles, our victories...this is good stuff!!!

This is a PHENOMENAL little poetry book. Every woman should read it, and it’s filled with the most uplifting words. I’m a huge Peppernell fan and have a deep love for new age poetry and this is exactly what this book is: uplifting, guiding, supportive, and warm. I relate to each poem and believe there is truth in every word. Don’t hesitate - buy the book!

This collection of poems is something unique and not something I would usually pick up. However, I've been a fan of Cara for a while and felt that this empowering, raw poetry book was something that I needed to get my hands on. So glad I picked up a copy. I often just dip in and out of the pages randomly to read pieces, and the cover looks absolutely gorgeous on my shelf!

Love it. She writes so well and the words resonate with me. Glad I purchased it.
