Perfect for Saving Priceless
I purchased this to house my Father's first woodworking project at the age of 7, 1927. It is made from a wooden spool and hand painted. It is very precious to us and now takes it's place among the skeleton crew. The glass is very sturdy and the black base is beautifu, simple, and just the right size. And now I have an extra one, since they come in a pair. I am very happy with the overall quality.

Better Than Expected!
I bought this as a replacement cloche for a more expensive one that had been purchased from Kontax to display their Stirling Engine. When the original globe chipped along the edge, I found this one on Amazon. The dimensions were exactly the same as the original, but that's where the similarity ends. The globe that comes with this one is twice as thick and smoothly finished on the edge as the original that broke. It appears to be much more durable. Moreover, in spite of the glass thickness, it is crystal clear with no fogginess or scratches. The black wood base is nicely finished, too. What I didn't notice when I ordered this cloche, is I was ordering two of them for the same price as most other sellers charge for one. In addition to the quality, that's a bonus I didn't expect.

Seriously, this one is good
Well made. Glass is not thin. Base has no flaws. Super good cost to quality value. Definitely would buy these again. I would pay what I paid for one of these (it's a 2 pack)!

I love these domes! They are very nice quality! Smooth wood base and thick glass but not too heavy! And they shipped in great protective padding! Iโm saving that for when I need to ship them.
