I have a couple of pocket folding penknives that I've been known to carry around for opening boxes, cutting threads, etc. where a mini multi-tool doesn't, as it were, cut it. If I leave them in my pocket, they'll get full of tissue fluff, so I wanted something to put around them. I've no use for the belt loop (I just added either a bit of cord or a pocket hook to the hole so I can get at it), but at least it's thin compared with a lot of the competition. There's no closure at the top, but the leather is reasonably thick, so it tends to grip anything you put into it (especially if it has a pocket clip - I pulled a lanyard off a knife getting it to let go). This makes it independent of the size of the thing you're putting in it - and avoids any bulky studs or similar. It's a bit wider than I would have preferred, but that partly gives it a little leeway to expand out thicker, and keeps the attachment hole away from whatever's in it. It's quite thin in what it can accommodate, so it's not really a good fit for my torches (unless you have something long and flat like a Nitecore EDC27); it is, however, the right size for quite a lot of UK-legal folding pocket knives. Most of the alternatives either seem to have a huge fold-over clip or a solid belt clip that protrudes significantly, are large enough to be designed for more items, or are a lot more expensive. Unless it loosens up a bit over time, it tends to have a quite firm hold on what's inside, so it shouldn't fall out accidentally. Pinching it while extracting the contents helps a little. And to my mind, adding a few extra seconds before you can get at a knife is a good thing, since I don't feel that a good reason for carrying a sharp object is "self defence" (except against Amazon packaging).

The SOG powerpint fits perfectly. I've had it three years now and it's still like new with occasional use. Well recommend.

Quality construction and materials.

this thing is tiny useless for the money only a mini knife fit or a tiny torch. you be lucky to fit your middle finger in this pouch.!

Love this little sheath. Holds my pocket knife quite nicely. I tend to put the knife clip inside the sheath as opposed to the outside so it doesn’t scratch the leather. But it is well built and sturdy. I use it daily and it doesn’t really have a scratch on it. Highly recommended for daily carriers.

Decent quality, although the stitching is not very sturdy. The case is very stiff, good for a small tool or flashlight/mutitool, however the inner lining ‘suede’ is low quality and will stick to the tool Cannot be used for open blades or knives. The stitching doesn’t seal and the inner lining will leave chunks of suede on your knife. Less of a knife sheath, more of a belt holster
