Effective Natural Flea Spray That Really Helps with Itching in Warm, Humid Climate
We live in an area with a very warm and humid climate, and this summer my dog suddenly started scratching a lot. At first, I thought it was an allergy, but then I noticed tiny black fleas on her. My dog is regularly on Simparica Trio, so I went to the veterinarian to make sure everything was okay. The vet explained that even with Simparica Trio, fleas can still live in the environment and bite, causing itching, even though they don’t pose a serious health risk. She recommended using a natural flea spray before going outside. I bought this Vet’s Best spray on Amazon and started applying it before our walks. I was honestly surprised — my dog stopped scratching almost immediately. The scent is very pleasant and herbal, not strong or irritating at all. I also like that it’s plant-based and safe for dogs. The effect lasts for several hours, which is more than enough for our 1–1.5 hour walks. It has been a great addition to our flea prevention routine, especially during hot summer months.

Ka-Pow! Amazing Flea Killer Is Dog's Best Friend!
This tonic is terrific. I could NOT believe how well it worked, especially for a "feel good, all natural, go green" product. I thought it would probably be 'politically correct,' but would lack any real killing power. Wow, was I wrong. It has been said that all drugs are just natural remedies that have been purified, and to some extent, I'm sure that's true. So when you can go straight to the source, why bother with the man-made alternative? This product is nature's finest: it's a simple blend of peppermint oil, clove extract, and sodium laurel sulfate (a soap found in most shampoos). I rubbed it into my dog's hair and skin with a cotton ball (I did not spray it b/c I didn't want the fumes). Maybe working it into her skin really made the difference, I'm not sure since I never tried otherwise. I left it on her about 20 minutes, at which point she was sitting at me feet with her head cocked to one side and a "what did you just do to me" expression on her face. The smell is wonderful, but I could imagine it was over-powering for her, so I decided to rinse her off (even though the directions say nothing about rinsing). Since she's a little Yorkie (oh, yeah, super cutie), I decided to shower her in the upstairs tub that has a detachable shower-head so I could really put a lot of water pressure on the little suckers. I don't know if they were dead, in shock, or just too fumigated to hold on tight, but they rinsed right off and down the drain. She has a short 'puppy cut,' and I worked my fingers into her skin to dislodge any fleas that might still have a strangle hold. All totaled I rinsed about 15 of them down the drain with a scalding hot chaser. Sorry, I give to PETA but fried fleas are NOT animal cruelty :) She has been one happy puppy ever since, and is scratching just a few times a day, instead of every few minutes. I will repeat the treatment next week as well, just to finish them off, but all in all WE are D-E-L-I-G-H-T-E-D with the results. And for the price, and the environmental friendliness, you can't go wrong with this product!

Great tick repellent
I got tired of buying the flea and tick collars that just never work. Even when you put it on the dog they always end up with ticks. I live in an area with a lot of deers. After doing my research I came across this and will keep using. It is easy to apply as all you have to do is spray the dog down. Key thing to remember is to make sure you rub the spray in after spray it on the dog. I make sure to rub under my dog’s legs and her belly since that is a known spot. It is safe for the dog and the price is a great. It smells like minty eucalyptus type smell.

Be extremely cautious with any of these products
I really hate to write review with a single star but there is little to no merits regarding this product as far as we're concerned. We have two Great Danes which we grow closer to everyday. About a month ago we got a flea infestation & it's been a constant monkey on our back costing is $100's. More often than not larger dog breed tend to handle medicine better than smaller or more active breeds, & we've had Doberman's, German Shepard's, & Mastiff's. Well, we figured anything natural surely would be better than a man made chemical, though not as effective. We started with a round of Capstar which did work pretty well, & then a follow-up with a topical medicine, Advantag. That's when one of our Dane's began looking up at the ceiling for no apparent reason, it's a very weird reaction but it didn't seem to affect him otherwise & it slowly went away over about 3 weeks. It was decided to go the natural route to finish getting rid of the fleas, we sprayed this on out Danes & my wife & daughter left to go shopping. About 30 minutes after the application the same Dane jumped off the couch towards me & went into a seizure, I called my wife home since her we need her SUV to transport the dog to the vet. It took her about 15 mins.to get home at which time our Dane had come out of his 3rd & last seizure. They weren't terrible episodes & he maintained consciousness through-out everything, it was enough to make you angry at yourself & the company who makes this product. Just do you homework, & look up every chemical or ingredient before you to give it your animal, I wished I had. Our Danes are doing okay now, we've got baking soda in the carpets & treating the carpeted rooms with dry ice. If you look at my other reviews you can see all the products we've bought to deal with this. Regards, Steve

Worked when nothing else did
Last summer when visiting family my dogs both picked up fleas from the grass outside. We always have used Revolution for prevention but it was not working at all. . For 2 weeks I tried every kind of flea shampoo I could get my hands on, I also tried pills that supposedly would get into the dogs blood stream and kill the fleas on them (I just noticed my dogs going crazy itching when I used them). Finally I found this Vets Best and tried it. I like a few things about it, first and foremost, it worked. Secondly it wasn't packed full of crazy chemicals. It works as both a shampoo and a spray just to put on their coat (light misting works best). I washed my dogs with it and once dry lightly misted them (if you spray it on a wet coat and pet your dog it will foam up). Within a day no more fleas! The peppermint kills the fleas and keeps them away with the smell. It is an overwhelming peppermint smell. We now travel with a bottle any time we go anywhere with our dogs. Right when I let them out of the car I give each a few sprays and I know I won't have to worry about them picking up any fleas. On another note. . We used to see spiders in our home in the spring, I lightly spray our curtains once and month and it keeps them out as well. Peppermint is great because it kill a wide variety of pests so they will avoid it.
