Spent 3 weeks traveling in South Africa and Namibia in April 2026. This power converter worked perfectly. As converters go, I found this to be quite compact. Most hotels have plugs for all the adapters provided. NOTE: plugs are not located in the bathrooms as they are in the USA (we are 110V and they are 220V). And the plugs are not always located at a convenient location in the hotel rooms. For that reason I appreciate the long cord. I used it with an electric hair brush (lower wattage than a hair blower) and also with a hair iron BUT NOT CONCURRENTLY. Can use one or the other but not both simultaneously. Neither brush or iron have 220V settings and they worked without damage to either while using this power converter.

This device takes international voltage (typically 220 volt) and translates it into American voltage (110 volt) power. That step-down can cause some issues with things that short directly (hair driers, waffle irons) so be aware that it only works correctly on things that need power not creates heat.

I purchased the travel power converter for a trip my husband and I recently took to Argentina. The packaging is good, coming in a faux velvet bag we were able to use for travel. Specifically I made this purchase for my husband’s sleep machine he needs for his sleep apnea. It worked perfectly and with its 3 USB ports, we were also able to charge our phones and tablet at the same time as the sleep machine. I did use it with my curling iron and it also worked very well. It did not work for my straight iron. Not sure why. The unit is marked with an area to use electric hair styling tools. The unit comes with several adapters for most countries. Very happy with this product and recommend it.

I just bought a second one of these for my wife. I bought the first one two years ago and it's worked as needed sine then with travel to Denmark and the Netherlands. It was easy to use and it did what I expected in allowing me to charge devices from the usb ports as well as providing standard American voltage to run my laptop when its battery ran out. I also like the car4rying bag that it comes with which gives my more packing flexibility than a hard case

It was perfect. 3 USB ports to accomodate all needs. 6 foreign plug types to choose from. Excellent!

I went to South Korea and needed this converter to charge my laptop so I could attend an online orientation/tech setup for a new job before starting actual training. The orientation was mandatory due to the IT team setting up our computers and going over all the programs we would be using for the job. This was a group orientation/training, and there was no way I could attend any other day. This was the ONLY day the IT team would be available. Needless to say, I am livid! Where's the quality control at Ceptics???!!! I plugged my laptop in upon arriving at the hotel, so I could be ready for orientation the next morning. I woke up to a dead computer. The USB ports charged my phone, but the actual plug did not charge my laptop. I kept trying and trying for a few days, unplugging and plugging my laptop into the converter, trying to figure out why it wasn't charging, especially since it would charge my phone. I eventually got the converter to charge my laptop, but it was hit-and-miss. Sometimes it would charge my laptop, sometimes not. More often than not, my laptop wouldn't charge. From what I could gather, the connection inside the converter was bad. I am VERY upset because this converter ended up costing me a two-week, $10,000 trip to South Korea AND a new job - all because I couldn't attend a mandatory, first-day orientation/tech setup due to being unable to connect to a video conference, and there was no way to go out and buy another converter in time to attend the orientation. I am not happy AT ALL!

Absolutely loved this product. I travel frequently out of the country and really needed a converter that was versatile and had multiple plug adapters. I traveled throughout SE Asia with it for two months and it worked perfectly with all of my electronics and my hair straightener. I tried using my travel blow dryer with it (but already automatically convert that to a lower voltage from US) and it did not blow strong enough. Changed the voltage back up and almost blew up the hair dryer, so just make sure not to use a hair dryer with it- which I knew not to do in the first place with this type of converter (but tested the boundaries anyway- not the products fault- just a fair warning). Love how tiny and compact it is compared to others I have used in the past and will definitely be traveling with it on all future trips!

It's not working when want to used.

Excellent! I bought this last minute before vacation to France/Italy. A bit expensive but it worked like a charm. Has a variety of outlets for computer/phone/iPad, & small appliances. It’s well designed and is of high build quality. The plug adapters fit snuggly and are precisely made. The extension cord proved to be very useful as European power outlets are often irregularly installed - sometimes in hard to access, inconvenient places. The cord allowed for easy and flexible wall connections that enhanced the usability of the adapter. It comes with a bag to hold all the bits. It might be too bulky for some (minimalists), but i found it light and easy to pack in my carry-on/luggage. It’s easy to recommend this to others.

This was very useful on my last trip to Europe. The best feature was the multiple ports to accommodate multiple devices. The only downside is that it does not support a hair dryer.

This is a wonderful product. It works very well. There are lots of ways to charge several items at the same time. The unit is a voltage convertor as well so we used it for our flat iron appliance in South Korea.
