how do i use this item?

It needs to plug into cash drawer and usually into a receipt printer. It should run in a circuit.

Anyone have this working with Windows 10?

Yes, works fine with Windows 10 although you may have to install an older driver in some instances.

I notice that 1 side of the interface has a "printer" type of port, what type of port is on the opposite side? is it for lan or ethernet?

The opposite side has a 6 pin rj12 (registered jack) which looks like a phone cord jack, for the drawer kick cable coming from the register drawer. It is NOT for Lan or ethernet which is an 8 pin jr45.

Can i use this with an android tablet? i use the izettle app
