The caps in this kit test accurate for value and variable range. Pleased so far with the quality.

They are about the diameter of a pencil, but the do what they were made for. You do need a special tiny tip mostly insulated (except the tip) to adjust without affecting the frequency of the circuit they are tuning.

Several are jammed with corrosion, un-turnable even with WD-40. Few that do work show how the rest should have been. Autopsy reveals nothing fixable inside the bad ones, just throw those out. Will need a screwdriver, tweaker, or scope probe compensator with thin 2mm wide metal tip. Maybe break-free with a screwdriver before switching to a more delicate tweaker. Three different values of grey Trimmer all the same, possibly dumped together in the same bin before reaching this box set. Would buy again only because nothing better is offered and some few do work.

Work well for hobby projects and for a quick repair. Good for the price.

Everything was there. The leads were oxidized, wouldn’t take solder very well.

Needed a capacitor in the 75pf range. All the brown ones in the kit appear to be the same and are near 60pf. A couple approached 70pf but none were higher. Nothing even close to the 120pf listed. The plastic box is very flimsy but I didn't expect much. However, Amazon shipped this kit in the same cardboard box with a steel trailer hitch adaptor I had purchased and the plastic box was destroyed and the capacitors were loose and mixed. Not worth returning.

I thought that these capacitors might be a useful thing to have, just to insert into a quick-connect style breadboard and fine-tune capacitance. However, the most disconcerting observation about them is, that an unpredictable amount of torque is needed - from the correct kind of driver, of course - to adjust them. And so, this poor tactile feedback makes it difficult for me to tell, whether I'm actually damaging the capacitor instead. Dirk
