Cascade Mountain Tech Pop up LED Lantern

Very nice sturdy well made lanterns made by mountain tech. Lightweight and very bright. Only comes on when you lift up by the handle while holding the base. Adjust light by closing it to likeness of amount of light. Negatives: Plastic body not aluminum, should have mounted handles lower attach to body instead of top (no biggie) and one light setting. Will see in time how long the batteries last but going to eventually use rechargeable anyway.

Perfect for hurricane season. Small and easily stored. Throws a lot of light when needed.

I bought these for power outages. They are super durable and the light output is just right. All electric lanterns are a trade-off between brightness and run time. Others I have are so bright, they only go 2 hours. At my location in winter I need 6 hours of light per day, and these are perfect for that. I measured them with a light meter and they went about 6.4 hours until the light output reached 30% of the start. I'm sure they will go much longer, but at some point the light output becomes unusable. I have lots of lanterns that look exactly like these. They are not the same however. Some open so easily, they turn on by themselves in a glove box or backpack. These are harder to open, and I like that. These are NOT dimable. You simply close it slightly to make less light, but they are still using the same amount of battery. Now for the bad... I ordered 2 of these and liked them better than any of my other lanterns, until one of them failed to turn off. I took it apart, and the switch had fallen out of it's holding bracket. I simply pressed it back in and it's working perfectly now. It is a concern because when I need this in an emergency, I want it to work without having to mess with it.

These are awesome, super bright, come with the batteries and is a 2 pack with 2 handles and slide up to turn on and you can pull all the way up for full light coverage or just slightly up as like you are using a night light. Great price and deal for. 2 pack at around $16 you can't beat it especially with how bright these sucker's get and te fact that they use 3 AA batteries is that much better well and the fact they come with the batteries is even better!! SERIOUSLY GUYS THIS IS A GREAT BUY AND A GREAT DEAL AND THEY WORK WONDERFULLY

Compact - about the size of a coffee mug - easy to pack without taking up much room. Lightweight. Very bright. Runs on 3 AA. Can't comment on battery life yet.

Used for vacation to light outside area and inside dark areas where there was no lamp. Easy, bright, long lasting battery use. Great if I ever get stranded in car. I keep one in the car in case of emergency.

When I called for the lantern they said that if you wanted the super dumper lantern(or something to that effect) it would cost more. The lantern is bright, but I thought it was suppose to have magnets on the bottom. No magnets. Maybe the super duper one that's more money has magnets? It's okay, like I said it's bright. It's plastic which I expected. It takes three AA batteries, but my husband was happy with it. He opened it and threw it across the room on the carpet. It survived, but I said, "no don't do that" He said, "Oh no you can throw these 50 ft." I told him that I think these are different than the ones on TV."

These are great little light sources for when our power goes out!

Very good for power outages and camping. Light weight, gives off plenty of light and the battery lasts a long time! These are the second ones I have ordered, wanted a spare and one for my Mom!

They are easy to operate, have very good lighting and easy to store. For camping or lighting up a room when hydro goes off (which happens inour neck of the woods!)

There’s were on a coffee table at a cottage we stayed at and I bought them as soon as I got home, then I bought another set as a gift! I keep them out so if the hydro goes out I can find them quickly and better than carrying a candle around. Great out on the patio too. You pull the top up to adjust the amount of light. Love these!
