I have really fair skin and for a long time I could not go to the beach or out in the sun without full clothing because of it. I went to the beach to walk for only one hour today- fully sun protected skin, hat, clothing Nutrogena SPF 60+++ facial serum (several layers) and this banana boat lip balm on my lips. My skin is toasty- can't say if it is burned or not but its pink and irritated where I had on the nutrogena and the same on my hands and collar bone where I had 100% zinc sunscreen applied. My nose, cheeks and chin have sun rash- but my lips and skin around my mouth are perfectly intact. I really can't believe how well this lip balm worked and the skin it rubbed off onto was so well-protected. I wasn't a banana boat fan before and I thought drug store chemical sunscreens were not protective enough- but I've been proved wrong! Hawaiian Tropic and Banana Boat alike make some great products for sun protection and they are $10 and under most of the time. I used Supergoop for years and they make great products- but Supergoop doesn't hold up like this. I'm really happy and impressed that I can go to the beach and protect my skin for less money! I'm buying some for my whole family and will put some of the lip balm on my face when I feel the sun is intense.

Nice lip balm with SPF, good moisturizer and great for travel to the beach.

This works well as far as the spf factor goes. I can't put my finger on why, but I do not enjoy the taste. It's oddly sweet, and sticks with you- but it does its main job of protecting.

I have purchased this lip balm multiple times over the past few years. It is my go to in every scenario. Works in the harshest conditions - we hiked two weeks in the Sahara - my lips were conditioned and never burned, no wind chap and moisturized. One of my must have comfort items. So compact - it goes everywhere with me! It has a minimal taste - very pleasant and light. Goes on smoothly and lasts. Love it - and it is reasonably priced! The best.

My favorite lip balm. Goes on the smoothest, with a slightly wet feel, and a hint of banana odor. Works well for 8-12 hours.

It works fine, but it tastes gross like sunblock, which I guess makes sense considering it is sunblock 😂
