Fantastic customer service from Ghost Controls
The solar panel was really easy to install and worked for over a year but something went wrong with it (so I would only give 4 stars) and it stopped charging. Ghost Controls customer service was absolutely phenomenal, however, and sent out a new one on the same day I called! The real-person customer service saved the day and earned my 5-star review 😊

Good panel. No issues
Going in a year with this panel and it’s lined up to expectations. Even in the winter it kept our deep cycle fully charged. Four days of clouds and 8” of snow had the battery down to 54%. The next sunny day it fully charged a large deep cycle marine battery. The mounting bracket could be a bit better with more adjustments but good quality. When installing make sure your angle is to the south / south southeast for best sun.

Keeps the 12V battery charged!
First impressions: the solar panel is solid, seems to be of good quality. The cable has sufficient length for most applications. Installation: the most time consuming task has been to install the mounting plate on the back of the panel. Once that is accomplished, with no damage to the provided screws and nuts (some spares would have been nice), mounting on a pole of wood board has been very easy. Connecting to the Ghost Controls gate main panel involved to simply follow the directions. Operation: the panel keeps the 12V battery charged. Have not had any issues opening/closing the double door, no matter the weather.

Perfect upgrade
My gate opener was installed with a 10-watt solar panel. Worked well until this winter. More clouds & rain than usual in CA this year. Direct sunlight was heavily filtered or sometimes completely blocked. The battery could not fully charge in the limited hours of sunlight. Rather than relocating the panel or adding 10-watt panel(s) in series, I replaced the 10-watt with this 30-watt panel and added a backup battery. It generates more power faster and can completely charge two batteries with the few hours of sunlight per day during the winter. Quick and easy to install, and plenty of reliable power now. Did not require tech support.
