Just what we needed
I bought this pet water fountain because it has a stainless steel bowl, and it was recommended by my cat breeder for that reason. It has worked great so far now (about one month). Before purchasing it, two of my cats had trained us to allow them to drink from the kitchen water faucet, and although they still ask, they have started drinking from this fountain more and more. Hopefully they will eventually just drink from the fountain. It was easy to set up, and cleaning it isn’t hard at all. It isn’t quite silent, but the sound of the trickling water is soothing which I truly appreciate. I’m attaching a picture and video of our new kitten even though he isn’t drinking from the stream, he’s just cute as can be! It you’re looking for a great water fountain this is the one!

Picky feline loves this water bowl!
We have a very picky cat when it comes to her food and water bowls. When her previous water bowl was accidentally broken we tried a few that she made known was NOT going to work. This bowl has worked out very well! The pump is just about silent and the water flows quickly over the top without splashing or making a lot of noise. Our cat does not like “ noisey” machines as they are scary, so this has proven to be great for her. The height of the machine is just high enough for our adult cat to drink out of without leaning to far down. Easy to clean and the metal seems to stay clean more efficiently than plastic, etc…materials. Filter comes with it and the filter is available to purchase in a cheap pack on Amazon in the future as needed. The LED light is not a glaring bright thing to disturb humans at night if you have a small space. After typing this review I just realized how much of a picky cat we have and how well trained We are for her. LOL

Motor stopped working after 3 months
I bought this for my senior cats, because they really needed it. Easy to assemble, easy to clean which I did regularly and very quiet. I seriously loved this fountain. After the second month, no matter where the water level was it was noisy! and on the 3rd month motor stopped working and now the water won't run through. I do have hard water, which I'm not even sure is the issue because like i said, i cleaned it thoroughly and regularly. So I am soaking the motor in vinegar to see if that helps. If not, then sadly, I don't recommend buying this product. EDIT: soaked motor a few hours in vinegar and back to working again. So if you have hard water, it's probably a good idea to soak motor in vinegar for a few hours when you clean and replace filters.

Best fountain out there!
There is nothing I do not like about this fountain. I tried several others just for a few times and gave them away. Thank goodness I ordered this and will always use it. It’s perfect. I want my male cat to drink distilled water during his life and what a better way to get it. He drinks a lot more water out of this than he ever did out of a bowl which I’m thrilled about. He obviously loves it. I keep the flower off because he seems to get more from the bubbler. I had trouble with other fountains I bought keeping it lined up to get it to bubble correctly. Then it seemed to taper off and my cat had trouble drinking out of it. I swear it took me an hour and 1/2 each cleaning to figure out how to line it up. I noticed this new fountain had a notch to line up the bowls in the video and that’s one reason I ordered it. No more problems! It goes right into place with no guessing. It’s easy to clean and the pump has 4 rubber feet to push into place so that’s easy peasy too. It makes it very easy to assemble. The added benefit is this fountain is completely stainless steel except the pump and tubing of course. That’s what my veterinarian wanted me to get but there aren’t many out there. I also thought the price was low for all stainless steel. I’m very happy to have found this fountain and so is my cat.

Fantastic fountain
I LOVE this fountain. I have tried many different types and brands and this is my favorite so far for function, but definitely in second place for price. Though it is well worth the price. The pump seems better protected and more robust than any of the other four types of fountains I have tried. The carbon filter is a circle that fits completely around the pump, which is great because I have others that slip into grooves and I find they slip out too easily- this one does not. The other filter is a completely different design than others but there is no question in exactly how it sits in the unit (others I’ve tried are easy to place upside down). If you take the flower out of the top it runs nearly soundlessly. My only complaint is the blue light. I haven’t found whether I can turn it off or not yet. I keep this unit in my master bedroom, so the light is bothersome but the water splashing sound is nearly silent. Also if your cat tends to get a rash in their chin from plastic bowls, that will not be an issue with this fountain as the top is stainless steel. Should be a breeze to clean and keep clean also. I’ll update this review with any issues or more information after I’ve used it for a while. But my initial impression is it is a bit expensive but it is definitely worth the price.

Works perfect but to easy to take apart
This is probably the best water fountain I have ever purchased. It actually prevents things from getting in the water like a filter should. It is quiet and it is easy to assemble. Plus my cat will drink from it. Or at least he was drinking from it until he learned that he could take it apart. The top layer, that acts kind of like an extra filter between the filter and the water does not actually attach to anything. You can just put it on top and add the flower. Max thought that was great because he could just push the flower towards himself and take off the whole top of the fountain in the process which prevents the fountain from working the way you would want it to. He won't drink the water from the bowl and he will only drink from a fountain with a flower head, but if it comes apart really easily he just takes to breaking it so he can then dump the water. Luckily this fountain is big enough that the weight prevented him from dumping the water on the carpet like he usually does, but I still cannot use this fountain because of my cats preference to take things apart.

I always thought that water fountains = spoiled cat, but...
There are health benefits to having a water fountain for cats who don't drink a lot! I've grown up around cats for most of my life and they never had a problem drinking water from a bowl. But when I moved out and adopted my first cat ever, I noticed she didn't really like water in her bowl wouldn't drink enough. And so, she became constipated. The vet recommended adding pure pumpkin to her diet (which helped a little) and purchasing a water fountain. At first, I was worried she was terrified of the fountain, but then we saw her drinking out of it. And as a result, she's no longer constipated (yay for a happy cat!). In general, we love this fountain. It's quiet, it's fairly easy to assemble, and has held up for a whole year since we purchased it. No motor issues, no leaks, no filter issues. The only thing that would be nice is if it was easier to clean the inner parts, but the pipe cleaners they include DO help. I've also heard to use filtered water rather than tap to help keep mineral build up from happening. Overall, I recommend and will continue to spoil my cat :)

Cats wouldn’t use
Unfortunately my cats refused to use this fountain. I followed the instructions and advise about introducing it to them slowly. After taking away the regular water bowl, we noticed one of our two cats jumping on and off the counter. She was drinking from the sink. There was also less urine in both litter boxes. I finally took away the fountain and put back the regular water bowl and the cat that was jumping on the counter went straight to the bowl to drink right away and was at it for several minutes drinking from it. It’s unknown about the other cat if she was doing the same thing. She sort of knows not to go on the counter so she may have done it without us noticing if we weren’t home or in that area of the house. Now I feel horrible that she was that thirsty. The other cat is still sleeping so she hasn’t seen it yet but I will pay attention to see how she reacts. Keep in mind that just because this was our experience, it doesn’t mean it will happen to everyone. All animals react differently. I highly recommend leaving a bowl of water maybe in a different part of the house for your fur babies before taking it away completely or maybe wait until you see them use the fountain for several weeks before taking away their bowl. These are things I wished I had done and don’t know why I didn’t think of it before. But I’m not up for doing this now because I feel so bad this happened. I don’t want to risk anything else. We had this for about 2-3 weeks. Anyways, I will be returning this since it didn’t work out.
