It included several extra springs. Maybe they've updated the product since the November, 2014 review.

This barrel is 1-1/4 inches, not sure about the 4g.

Does it have an automatic turn off

No. There is a lever for on and off.

I need another curling iron and i want one bigger than the one i have, so i need to know how to measure the one i have so i can tell you what size i n

To determine the size of the one you have just hold a ruler across the width of the barrel. I just got my 3/4 inch iron and it matches with the flat ruler measurement I took. The ruler also matched against my 1 1/4 inch iron. I hope this helps!
