I do not get relief from the pill. I like this much better. I have to use it 3 times a day but, relief is relief. I have sciatica so I pace for about 15 to 20 minutes afterwards, helpful.

How does this product compare to ben gay, icyhot and aspercreme?

This does nothing for me. I have not tried the ones you have mentioned but i was surprised with Voltaren. That actually took pain away for a time. I do not know yet if one starts to build a tolerance to it yet but right now I recommend Voltaren

Can it be used on the hands? The instructions say to wash your hands if you got any on them. My hands are where I need it.

You could, but it is a strong solution of camphor and menthol which would burn very badly if you got it in your eyes or on anything you might touch later and then touch your eyes. I would put it on the hands and then a pair of loose fitting gloves. Wash it off well after a few hours. This is not medical advise, just an idea. It works very well on pain elsewhere without any drugs or chemicals entering the system.

So it does not contain Aleve?

No I don’t think so. The active ingredients are camphor and menthol. There are several inactive ingredients in aleve but the only one that is also in aleve lotion is pentylene glycol. I used it for the first time yesterday because I had a migraine. I get a lot of neck pain with my migraines. When I rolled it on my neck, it gave me temporary relief; it numbed it for a couple of hours. I hope this helps to answer your question.
