can you use /mineral spirits/paint thinner on it to clean oil paint off?

Mineral spirits may be suitable for cleaning paint off of polycarbonate, but we recommend testing in an inconspicuous area first.

I want to protect the top of my end tables from water rings and spills. Is this the right product for that? If so, what adhesive is to be used?

Yes, this would work. As the sheet is clear, you would see any adhesive you put underneath it, so you may want to just place it without adhesive.

Is this 1/32 or 0.03 inch sheet stiff enough to hold it's self up if mounted on 3 of the 4 sides?

Yes. The 1/32 is plenty strong enough to hold itself up (meaning vertical). Mine is anchored on 2 sides and stands very rigidly.

It says it will be shipped rolled. Is it easy to straighten and how do you do that? I want to use this to make “glass” for micro miniature box frames.

This material flattens out well because it is very flexible and lays flat under its own weight. However, if you need something that is more rigid, I would recommend going with a thicker sheet.
