The air pump needs to be higher than the water level, what kind of suction cup or holder is optimal to use for this take? And hiding it at same time.

You may want to consider using an aquarium air check valve (-- search on "aquarium check valve" for examples). This will allow air to be pumped into the tank, yet prevent water from flowing back to the air pump in the event of a power failure or whatever. The pump could then be hidden anywhere outside of the tank.

It uses Tetra Whisper XS filter cartridges and we recommend replacing the cartridge every 3 to 4 weeks depending on the number of fish and amount of daily feeding.
